Look man I don’t think the people being poisoned by data centers really care if you remove the generated assets before shipping, and I don’t really care if you “only” use the machine that stole my shit and convinced teens to off themselves for internal PowerPoints.

Cool motive. Still bullshit tho.

EVEN putting aside AI gen being a plagiarism machine that needlessly cuts out one of the most important parts of the creative process and distances artists from the actually inspiring art stolen to make it function — AI Gen is LITERALLY destroying the planet. There is no getting around the needless amount of power and graphics cards and RAM these things burn through every time you press enter. These things are polluting towns, stressing power grids, taking away jobs — disproportionately affecting minorities. Do you think people don’t care? Do you think we’re stupid?? Are YOU stupid?? As a fan I am heartbroken. I don’t care half us much about how much I want to play your game as I do the planet or every touch of human creativity and craftsmanship. For the sake of what? Admittedly very little efficiency?? You’re burning the planet because you’re too lazy to make a powerpoint??? Are you crazy?? I want to say good luck coming back from this, but I unfortunately doubt you’ll suffer. You people never suffer. To think I imagined you were any different.

Got mad and sent another lol I encourage anyone to do the same! For the sake of the creatives who don’t wanna risk their jobs making a rightful stink about it.

Super easy to use. Call your reps to OPPOSE KOSA (and other similar invasive censorship bills).

One barrier is ID checks. Imagine living in one of the 12 U.S. states where abortion is illegal and just trying to learn about abortion on Reddit or YouTube then having to hand over your ID. If at any point you actually seek out an abortion, this info can be used to incriminate you.

This one’s just cool. His channel is just really fun for historical and cultural reference in general, great reference for world-building (he also has an awesome vid on world-building and what he wishes he saw more re: fantasy religions).

What Is the Best Bible Translation?
What Is the Best Bible Translation? YouTube video by ReligionForBreakfast

i looooove this channel for stuff on religion. He does stuff other than Christianity, and doesn’t have a video breaking each of the US Christian sects down that i could find, but this one gets close & is a good example for why there are so many schisms.

I think about it for hours after man. I remember the moment for days. It’s made my heart race before. A good concentrated scent is like instant, literal aura. Don’t sleep on it 😭 I beg of thee just one just get one.

I am begging men to invest in a nice perfume (MENS PERFUME, NOT COLOGNE) or eau du parfum/toilette. The primal activation that happens deep in my brain is one that Id like to have more often. I think i smell a dude wearing something w an actual profile like once or twice a year tops.

You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison is one of my favorite songs of MCRs though and barely rhymes (only one imperfect couplet with “This” & “Wish” I think lol). Both bands use a lot of imperfect rhymes over perfect rhymes! Theyre already so cheesey sounding the distinction helps a lot lol

Another note on lyrics: BOF and Panic! Use rhymes really deliberately, often saving ABAB rhymes for choruses, making them really memorable and extra catchy. Bands like Paramore & MCR do a lot more rhyming throughout their songs but use non-rhymes for emphasis instead.

theres something particularly magical about how notoriously difficult the non-chorus parts to some of these songs are, to sing, let alone memorize. The juxtaposition of that complexity w extremely catchy super simple choruses brings with it both a textural contrast & highlights their accessibility

Anyway I’m tryna get back into practicing guitar again and learning some proper music theory lately so ignore me if i’m talking out of my ass cuz i probably am idk lmao

These old songs really know how and when to use really simple chord progressions and when and where to break expectations and introduce complexity. They also provide a great backdrop for what are some really complex lyrical arrangements and melodies!! A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out anybody???

in a way that a lot of this new stuff doesn’t really feel. The ‘pop’ part is left out a lot of the time — the times I see the classic Intro -> Verse -> Pre-Chorus -> Chorus -> Verse -> Bridge -> Chorus etc & similar structurally pop elements completely ignored is painful sometimes 😭

but they’re missing much of the complexity (or diversity?) in the arrangements. MCR & FOB have a lot of simplicity in the individual instrumental parts (except maybe the drums, which vary in how much they carry a song) But the lyrical arrangement and overall song construction is soo considered

I really think the pop punk era of music is always severely underestimated for its deliberate artistic choices. A lot of pop punk revival happening right now doesn’t hit in the same way and i think it’s because it’s extremely superficial with its execution. They’ve got the sad lyrics and the ‘voice’

Yesterday, the Epic Games Store decided at the last minute not to distribute the game, after having previously approved a release build. HORSES is otherwise now available on GOG, Itch, and Humble for $4.99. www.horses.wtf
