The US Constitution represents a pivotal moment in history, a time of human maturity in establishing of government by the people for the people empowered with the the consent of the governed to protect their inalienable rights. It’s the strongest weapon we have to protect us from tyranny.

I imagine a Star Trek world, where the needs of the many and the needs of the few carry equal weight under the law, and no one has to pay for anything.
I just reread an Asimov book that dealt with similar questions and showcased the US Constitution as a mature document that destroys tyranny and the fuel of despotism by forming a Government deriving its powers from the consent of the governed to secure peoples' rights

The Stars, Like Dust by Isaac Asimov written in 1951 deals with themes of prejudice, despotism, and overthrowing tyrants.
In fact, I just re-read a 1951 Asimov book that referred to the US Constitution as the strongest weapon in the universe to destroy tyranny and prevent the changing of one despotism for another... a time of maturity has come as it had on Earth
Makes you wonder if Roddenberry had read this book too?

FYI - The big b bill provides massive write-offs for the expenses associated with R&D if the expense work is done on U.S. soil. It is a write-off and in some cases a dollar for dollar savings. These will lower companies effective tax rates.

It was a sad day. One we should remember IMHO; in addition to honoring the innocent lives lost, it is also a stark reminder and warning of the implications of radicalization, domestic terrorism.
