One time I was in Ames Iowa -- pre-internet -- and we called the only taxi driver in town. He showed up with 7 chihuahuas, it was the best ride ever.
We were like "how do we get a cab back to the hotel later?" and he was like "We'll find you" and he did! Kind of an awesome night!
Almost 8 years to the day since Minit, by @jwaaaap.com and friends, shipped on Xbox and I still think about it regularly. Such a fun experience

There used to be a fascinating wetlands nature area, the Mercer Slough, that they paved over to build this line but it's still pretty cool.
You know in SimCity when you build some infrastructure and you see people kind of filling it up and using it in real time? I feel like I'm seeing that happen right now on the 2 line from Redmond to Seattle. The 2 line was a ghost town last week and now that it goes to Seattle it's packed.
I have not-quite-rage-but-definitely-still-quit games over this issue.
It was fun talking, I would have liked to discuss the book (and books) more!

Jessica poses with some SF skaters showing off their new decks at GDC
When some skaters took up residence outside the ID@Xbox showcase yesterday at GDC, @jessicatronn.bsky.social hooked them up with ID@Xbox fingerboards and a limited edition High on Life x Xbox deck for Best Trick.
If you're at GDC come talk to us at the Lobby Bar in South Hall and grab one too!
No I'm just observing and worried for people!
OMG if it's midnight and you're in some weird part of San Francisco, please don't be: a) wearing your GDC badge, b) stumbling around heads down in your mobile phone.

I'm drowning my sorrows at the weirdest DJ night in Seattle - third Monday's Floating Tomb at Daryl's. Technically it's in Shoreline! I dj'd last month.
(*there's no crawl space - he was in a creepy survival horror service closet you get to by going through the back of a real closet but that didn't fit with the character limit.) (if we had a crawl space we probably wouldn't be mining through the driveway tomorrow.)
Today was one of those days where you have other plans and then the next thing you know there's a plumber in your crawl space* and suddenly you're about to get a new driveway.
It wasn't intentional actually!!
"That looks really good, have you considered the blue from the Luxembourg flag? That blue seems like it's going to be really hot soon. Just get the Pantone for that and try it."
-sentences that are super weird unless you work in game development.
Also, that Luxembourgian cyan/blue is pure gold.

After nearly 5 years my "notes from in person meetings at shows" notebook is full. Flipping through reveals early notes on so many amazing games, it's like a time machine. Stickers and stamps are from Gamescom, DICE, and BitSummit
She is an amazing song!
I didn't think Josie gets enough credit as one of Blink-182's best songs.
