The European Parliament then follows proportional representation based on the number of votes each party received in their election. That is democracy imho

How is bullying countries that don’t buy from you in equal measure as you buy from them a sound economic policy? It’s the natural flow of goods: some you buy some you supply and for a whole variety of reasons that may not be an equal balance. We are no longer bartering in global trade 🙄
