but its still an issue which is why hes getting treated obvs... but even when he does fall into a healthy range itll still be higher/he'll still be bigger than the average cat size because he has a large build to go with it so his base is naturally higher than average... cat math

every time I talk to ppl about my cat i have to emphasize that while he is overweight he is also just a Big Freaking Cat like his build is huge... so his weight issues arent glaringly obvious like they would be on a cat with an average or smaller build unless hes laying down or something

I say heading cause he still is diabetic rn but per vet instructions our monitoring has moved from daily to weekly now since his levels evened out and now the focus is on getting him to reach a healthy weight which (according to our vet) will likely conclude daily diabetic treatment for him 💃💃

idk if I posted about it anywhere but my cat was diagnosed as diabetic a few months ago and we started treatment and hes already heading into recovery territory 💃
