It seems there is a bias toward solo diners/bar goers. I usually avoid places that make me feel isolated/penalized. I don’t go out with family or friends. Sometimes I enjoy my own company and shouldn’t be made to feel excluded for that.

I’m happy to say Magnolia Pub and Brewery in San Francisco is back. It feels more like the original iteration. The food is excellent and the beer is good again. New Belgium’s ownership ruined them.
I’m sure I’m the only one but I dislike when brewery restaurants serve cocktails. Imho, beer should be the focus, not spirits.

Yeah, I usually drink IPAs but currently thinking of switching to Sours. After this crazy week I’m going to drink a few more beers than usual. I don’t want to be consuming 7-8% alc per pint.

What is the deal with “breweries” that serve hardly serve any of their own beers if any at all? I’ve now encountered 2 in the Bay Area recently.
It is sad to see. One of San Francisco’s oldest breweries was destroyed by outsiders with zero respect for a SF beer history. I can’t ,with a clear conscience,buy District 10 or Full Circle beers.
It’s disheartening that Full Circle Brewing is shutting down Speakeasy Ales and Lagers in San Francisco. While the founders of Speakeasy mismanaged funds,but Ces Butner who bought them did nothing to help revitalize the company. Now Full Circle is changing the name to District 10 Brewery.
Last weekend I tried Barebottle Brewing Co’s Mighty Mosaic and Space Detective. Despite both being Hazy IPAs, the hops and amount of malt really make the difference. I’d definitely choose Space Detective next time over Mighty Mosaic.
Be it that it’s the SF Bay Area, they might try to charge me $120 plus my first born child.
