Radon will be at the Nebula Conference in June (sort of)

Meaning we will not have a proper table or booth, but Aimer, our Editor-in-Chief, will be attending as a Nebula Award finalist in the Poem category

He'll be bringing plenty of antifa bookmarks, stickers, and physical copies of Radon issues

Eye to the Telescope Eye to the Telescope, the quarterly online journal of SFPA, the Science Fiction & Fantasy Poetry Association, an international organization of speculative poets.

It may be hard to pick a place to begin, but luckily a lot of poetry is available online! Like @hugobookclub.bsky.social mentioned, spaces like @uncannymagazine.bsky.social, @strangehorizons.bsky.social, @radonjournal.bsky.social and the SFPA's own Eye to the Telescope are wonderful places to start.

National Poetry Month is in full bloom on the page. This poster was sent to us from the Academy of American Poets

We hope everyone's celebrating by trying to write a speculative poem a day.

Just think of how many poems you'll have to submit to us and places like Uncanny by the end of the month

For our final month of reading, we're needing shorter prose works. So if you submit 1-2,500 words you'll have a higher chance of making Issue 14.

For poets, if you simply submit a poem that's science fiction in nature, you're already in the top 25%

At the Center of your Orrery | Issue 12 Radon Journal Issue 12 featuring writers of science fiction and social commentary.

Was just browsing the current issue of @radonjournal.bsky.social to see what sort of writing they have, and this one hit me emotionally in a way that's tough to describe. I love it. It's pretty short; give it a read.

ELIZABETH RING: A third hand is a third hand Author feature — Issue #11

If you've been wondering where the best Radon content is in-between issues, it's here in our free Substack. Not only detailed write-ups on our published work and peeling back the authors, but plenty of pity paragraphs about the industry and our world.

Note that submission databases won't perfectly line up with our current pay rates.

Most cannot display decimals (which is frustratingly odd), and so on some we will appear as 2¢/word, and others will show 3¢\word.

But know that we're now 2.5¢/word

As we enter the second half of Issue 13's reading period, we would love to see more transhumanist or cyberpunk flash fiction.

We have a fair number of longer dystopian works, and want to round out with our futuristic meat and potatoes

Wonderful to meet all the Radon authors (and some readers) at AWP this past week. It's nice to be reminded that the journal we put out while scattered across the digital world has real-world impact

The introverts only emerge every once in a while, and it's nice to emerge among similar others

Got my physical copy of @radonjournal.bsky.social Issue 12 last week! It’s such a beautiful issue, and I’m still incredibly happy to be amongst so many phenomenal pieces!
