New year's resolution, dev stuff aside: be less lonely. Be more willing to let people in, and try to be okay with having friends care about me. To stop deflecting as much and try to be vulnerable again, and let people actually care about me when they actually try to.

It's almost like having an algorithm aggressively forced on you that suppresses those following you from seeing your posts if it doesn't get engagement outside your circles results in people trying to play to the algorithm or something.

I mostly use the following feed, not the algorithmic one. If you're seeing bullshit on the following feed, you gotta fuck with your follows.

Been using Kagi now for a while. Pretty much the same as strasz here - it's made search usable. Even without blocking domains and such, it's incredible how good a search engine can be when your eyeballs aren't the product.
