"Don't ship unless it's canon" you are truly are the weakest link. Back in my day we shipped characters that never laid eyes on each other. We shipped characters that didn't even belong in the same universe or franchise. Canon is a chain we threw off long ago

it's so funny to complain about the Pope being "weak on crime". he is the ostensible mouthpiece of a God whose whole thing is forgiving sins. it's technically his job to be weak on crime.

A faceted bar chart from jessk.org/blog comparing the frequency of five keywords—biological sex, gender identity, gender ideology, transgender, and transgenderism—across four websites (cnn.com, nytimes.com, advocate.com, and foxnews.com) for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025. The chart shows foxnews.com publishing significantly more content containing these keywords compared to the other outlets, particularly the word "transgender," which nears a count of 1,000 in 2025.

Singal dismisses the critique of the media as conspiracy theory, calling "reactionary centrist" near-meaningless jargon. Jessica Kant's research found Fox News alone published more trans-related articles than there were days in the year, every year since 2023. Multiple per day.

You don't spend hundreds of millions of dollars on a campaign to shift public opinion and then get to claim the resulting shift in public opinion was organic. That's the entire game and Singal just plays along because he sadistically loves to rub it in to trans people and victim blame them.

Below it is a pull quote: "‘That's $134 per trans person in anti-trans ad spending,’ civil rights attorney Alejandra Caraballo said."

The Trump campaign spent $222 million on anti-trans ads. ADF's budget exceeds $100M. Chris Rufo has openly admitted to manufacturing moral panic as a political strategy. These aren't "conspiracy theories." These are documented facts. Singal dismisses them without ever actually addressing them.

Singal's logical fallacy is to frame this as binary, an either/or. Either the backlash is manufactured by billionaires OR it's the organic response of a public that simply disagrees. But both could be true simultaneously, and Singal knows this but he never engages with the funding record.

Jesse Singal is back on his transphobic bullshit by arguing that the trans rights backlash is self-inflicted and that anyone pointing to coordinated right-wing funding is peddling a "conspiracy theory." It's a masterclass in false dichotomy and victim blaming.

People peddling complete drivel can get published in mainstream media more easily than breathing, as long as it’s anti-trans.

But if you are a trans writer trying to get something based on peer-reviewed research & solid data, getting into the media is like trying to break into Fort Knox.

The Pentagon Threatened Pope Leo XIV’s Ambassador With the Avignon Papacy The Free Press has documented a closed-door Pentagon meeting in which a senior Trump official lectured Pope Leo XIV’s ambassador on American military supremacy.

NEW: A stunning new report claims that the Pentagon summoned Pope Leo XIV’s top American diplomat and threatened him after the U.S.-born pontiff gave his January state-of-the-world address.

Leo used the address to denounce a world ruled by “a diplomacy based on force” and “zeal for war.”

The main post reads: "UPDATE: Letters from Leo can now independently confirm that the meeting took place — and that the Vatican was so alarmed by the Pentagon’s tactics that Pope Leo XIV shelved plans to visit the United States later this year. Many in the Vatican saw the Pentagon’s reference to an Avignon papacy as a threat to use military force against the Holy See."

The Trump administration threatened to kill the pope to the Vatican's ambassador and install a antipope in the US.

Some of the money we pour into our military could be used to provide for all those on US soil. Food. Healthcare. Mental Health. Housing. All of it. Every single bit of it.

This isn't even an exaggeration. They've bloated our military budget so kids can starve and people can go homeless.

if you want to know the history of this kind of policy, I made a podcast two years ago that explained why these tests make no sense, how they were already used and eventually abandoned by the IOC in the 80's and 90's, and the devastating impacts they have on real athletes: www.tested-podcast.com

Transgender women banned from Olympics by new IOC policy The new policy limits eligibility in women’s events to biological females based on genetic screening beginning at the 2028 Games.

The IOC has announced a trans and intersex athlete ban requiring an invasive SRY genetic test for female athletes.

In the 20+ years trans women were eligible, only one ever competed and none ever medaled. This is solving for a problem that doesn't exist.
