GB News comment about LGBTQ+ including 'paedos' in breach of Ofcom code A GB News presenter saying “full inclusion of LGBTQ+ persons” at a church would “include paedos” breached the Broadcasting Code, Ofcom said.

"Complaint considered resolved with no further sanction due to apology and discussion broadcast on GB News."

Ofcom doesn't even merit the phrase "paper tiger". It's a paper kitten.

Azeen Ghorayshi at the NYT has moved on from going after trans people and is now pushing the leasing question that autism diagnoses are too common because of its expansion of it to a spectrum.

It seems like every day that Morgan McSweeney wakes up with a new idea about how to detoxify Reform's hideous worldview and Keir Starmer duly executes it for him.

Lucy Powell calls for MPs to vote on single sex space guidance The Labour deputy leadership candidate calls for a debate and vote on guidance which is expected to say that trans people should be excluded from single sex spaces.

Lucy Powell has warned that Labour should not wave through a devastating trans bathroom ban 👇

Ripping up trans rights would be a disaster for Labour, for business, for women, and for the wider LGBT+ community.

It's wrong. Labour needs to stop aping Trump and Farage, and protect our human rights.

Hi LGBT+ Labour, thanks for the email about all your fabulous conference events, but my copy seems to be missing the meeting about tackling the overwhelming wave of transphobia that has engulfed Labour policy in the last two years and has left trans people across the UK living in fear. Typo?

At this point I think I may be one of an incredibly small number of people to have read the second Sullivan report in detail. It is uniformly poor scholarship, containing flagrant fabrications and misrepresentations, calling into question Alice Sullivan's ability to conduct basic academic research

Very normal that the police have to immediately specify that he's white, knowing otherwise there would be far right rioters trying to burn buildings down.

Breaking news: "A man has been arrested after a car ploughed into a crowd in Liverpool."

EDL types: "Just a man? Give us the details."

News update: "A 53 year old white male has been arrested."

EDL types: "Why do they have to make a point of mentioning he's white, eh? Says it all."

Fuck Labour, but what Lucy Powell said was absolutely right and refreshingly honest about how the phrase 'grooming gangs' is used in British politics, and if you think Tim Montgomerie gives a fuck about abused kids I hope you never leave yours alone with him.

Wtf. Who has this come from? Or what is the context of it, can I ask? Absolutely tone deaf, BS take.

And if they are autistic? “You thought you were trans but it’s actually autism”? Do they assume that autistic people can’t think or make decisions about their own bodies? Or are autistic kids thought to be super easy to influence (?!?!) and so need to be rescued from the evils of gender ideology?

11 months ago 67 2 5 1

meanwhile kids who need autism assessments so they can get accommodations are on long waiting lists, right?

when you're assessing in order to exclude, dismiss and infantalize suddenly it's easy
when you're assessing to provide accommodations suddenly it's impossible and you're understaffed

France has rated the UK as one of the worse places in Europe to be trans - marginally above Russia, Hungary and Bulgaria.

FUCK OFF YOU ARSEHOLES.
There is only so much professionalism, particular as a non-binary, autistic, individual, I can muster at the moment. Stop treating us as if we are "broken" as if we are "wrong". How hard is it to accept us as us? I want to cry at the way we are talked about.

Bridget Phillipson was an undergrad when the GRA passed. That's OK. I'm only slightly older.

What it points towards, something I've said in council meetings before: if the GRA has been in force for decades, but you've only noticed it in the last couple of years, maybe trans people aren't the issue?

11 months ago 142 33 3 1

Bridget Phillipson says trans women should use male toilets, then claims to support “respect for all.” She ignored thousands marching for trans rights to talk about chalk on statues. This is Labour’s stance? Shameful. We’ll be calling it out on The Gayly Digest.

World Athletics to introduce mandatory sex testing for female competitions Sebastian Coe, president of World Athletics, says the governing body feels the mandatory tests for athletes are "a really important way of providing confidence".

Welp, here it is. World Athletics is going back to mandatory sex testing for all women. This is something that was done for years, but abandoned in the 1990's because it was invasive, discriminatory, and also useless. news.sky.com/story/bluesk...

EU 'bans the word man' in inclusive language guide

Politicians told to swap terms such as 'tradesman' or 'man-made' for alternatives that encompass 'people of all genders'

EU 'bans the word man' in inclusive language guide Politicians told to swap terms such as 'tradesman' or 'man-made' for alternatives that encompass 'people of all genders'

So they haven't "banned the word man" at all then. It isn't even like this is new. It's been fairly standard for years to say things like "tradesperson". Gender neutral language isn't just perfectly normal already, it makes more sense for most things. The outrage machine is reaching at this point.

U.S. Park Service Strikes Transgender References From Stonewall Website The “T” was removed in references to L.G.B.T.Q.+ on the official site for the Greenwich Village monument, which marks a milestone in the fight for gay rights.

They literally removed the T from LGBTQ and erased any mention of trans people who were present at the Stonewall Riots. They're trying to erase us from history.
