@stacos.bsky.social @universalhub.com FYI BFD enroute to battery street for a confirmed person in the water. #fire #waterrescue
Tbh. I wish we could just put the wires up instead.
idk the snow removal has been pretty shit this year. Embarrassment really.
wake me up when wagons return to the states.
Cambridge isn't doing much better either. Both cities just forgot how snow removal works. Embarrassment to New England. We pride ourselves of good bike infrastructure and then don't clear the snow from it.
@stacos.bsky.social @universalhub.com Boston Fire Second Alarm 86 Fuller Street. ACW Heavy Fire 3rd floor.

@stacos.bsky.social BFD is responding for a person under the train.
A newly manufactured Amtrak Cascades locomotive waits to leave the factory in California. The frame around the windshield is gold. The nose is evergreen to represent the PNW trees and most of the locomotive is cream, the white color representing the cream in your coffee. The updated Amtrak Cascades logo is large inside the cream portion. Blue sky and thin white clouds create the backdrop.
A new Amtrak Cascades Business Train Car waits to leave the manufacturing facility for testing. Cascade mountains are featured on both ends of the car. BUSINESS is printed on the top middle portion of the evergreen background. The mocha color frames the plentiful windows and there's a stripe of cream color below the windows. The Business Car sports a gold door which matches the mountains in the Amtrak Cascades logo. The door is open and the steps are down, waiting for you to hop onboard!
Interior photo of a new Amtrak Cascades Business Car showing two seats on one side of the car. The leather seats appear comfy with tall, puffy headrests. Some seats are facing and have tables between them. You can see the edge of a table on the single seating opposite side of the car. The windows are large to view the spectacular Northwest scenery. The floors are carpeted. The end wall has wood paneling with a white Amtrak Cascades logo.
New spacious Amtrak Cascades Cafe Car features windows on both sides. A large service counter sits in the middle. Evergreen and cream colors with gold accents match the Amtrak Cascades logo, a reflection of the Pacific Northwest. White and green shadow lighting create lovely hues on the ceiling.
Drumroll, please... The first new Amtrak Cascades train is leaving the Siemens manufacturing facility in Sacramento today and heading to Pueblo, CO for testing! Following a year-long testing journey, they’ll arrive home to the PNW in 2026—stay tuned for more photos! #trains #PNW
Well, that's because the T didn't want to spend the money to put a larger transformer in at the time so Amtrak said don't use our stuff then. So for it to happen today they'd need to put in a few substations.
Glares at the @mbta.com not putting the damn wires up...
It's why community members decide to run @mbtasubwayalerts.bsky.social and @mbta-alerts.bsky.social. People got fed up and did it themself.
@mbtasubwayalerts.bsky.social @mbtaslowzonebot.bsky.social @mbta-alerts.bsky.social exist, community ran but they exist.
Boston pre-recorded announcements on the subway are nice, when it works...
I follow the photos tag so that's why I see your content. I'm mainly a lurker so I tend to not like/engage.

PUT THE DAMN WIRES UP IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE
As another National Train Day passes, the bittersweet reminder that a talented artist, J. Craig Thorpe, has more vision than every single president, representative, and Amtrak appointee since 1971 about what US railroad infrastructre already should be, not some distant hope.
