Carl your criticism of liberalism is reasonable and my complaints about you are wildly overstated

No one fights harder for the American Worker than President Trump and I am honored to have served under the most pro-worker president in US history.
The allegations against me, my family, and my team have been peddled by high-ranked deep state actors who have been coordinating with the one-sided news media and continue to undermine President Trump's mission. I look forward to continuing to fight the good fight from the outside and always advocating for the American worker.

It seems that the hard right can only ever be happy out of power. Once they control all three branches of government, fire all the civil servants and install partisans, and are unconstrained by the rule of law, they still have to blame “the deep state.” Sister you are the state

“A small number of extreme users constantly post fringe opinions, which creates the illusion that these views are far more widely held than they really are.”

This is a critical concept.
The most powerful tool for deception today is “selected speech” — billionaires boosting ideas they like…

Point is politicians shouldn't blame voters for election outcomes, say voter feelings about the economy are just vibes from media, etc...even if those things are true

Police Group Endorses Obama-Biden Ticket Biden campaigning in Baltimore

The Trump era is just different. Look at police unions endorsing Obama 08 (who was not the "top cop" or really any kind of cop).

Power without accountability: The Palantir manifesto The problems with our tech philosopher kings

New, from me: Take the Palantir manifesto seriously, if not literally.
It reveals that our tech philosopher kings want public money, but without public accountability. This creates a dilemma for governments unaligned with its techno-fascist vision. 🧵

the democrats currently are as close as we've ever gotten to a party for working people, and it's not that close.

this is inextricable from the fact that the democrats are as close to a multi-racial coalition as we've ever gotten. 1

Title page of our paper, “The Politics of Black Classification: Sociopolitical Cues and Racial Perception,” with Lauren Davenport (Stanford) and Hunter Rendleman (UC Berkeley), dated April 14, 2026.

Abstract: What makes someone Black in American society today? From Donald Trump questioning Kamala Harris’s racial identity to Joe Biden’s claim that hesitant Black voters “ain’t Black,” American politics frequently brings questions of racial authenticity and belonging to the surface. Yet political science often approaches race as a fixed attribute rather than a social construction. Here, we seek to understand how Americans define blackness in social and political life. Using a conjoint experiment with a racially diverse sample that includes Black, white, and mixed race Black-white respondents, we evaluate how ascribed and acquired traits influence perceptions of blackness. The results show that inherited characteristics—particularly parentage and skin tone, which are the strongest determinants of racial classification—play a central role, while sociopolitical cues such as partisanship, neighborhood context, and spousal race also influence racial classification. Using a continuous measure, we also show that respondents make graded assessments of blackness rather than purely binary classifications, with some individuals perceived as more Black than others. Black respondents are more likely than white respondents to classify a broader set of profiles as Black, consistent with a more inclusive understanding of racial membership, yet they also place greater emphasis on shared political identity. These findings clarify how racial categories are socially constructed and why that construction carries real political and social consequences.
