i also play on controller and honestly found the content at that point pretty difficult, I thought level 90 rotations were hard enough as is 🤣

Squall was still awake in the dead of night. Paperwork. He had gotten used to writing operatives' wills, and other things of that nature.

It was quiet.

Until the BZZT! of his phone. He glanced at the number. Unrecognizable. He squinted.

(Ramen...?)

... Sigh. Oh yeah.

📲: Lose my number.

(... I feel like a pawn in some major scheme.)

Squall sighed and shrugged to himself. Screw it. He led her to the nearby vending machine.

He pumped a couple gil into it, perturbed, and punched in the numbers.

The machine whirred. It clicked. It waited.

KA-THUNK!

Ta-da! Cup Noodles.

"I guess," he replied honestly.

A lot of that going around today.

Squall hesitated, finding himself almost short of breath- not a hint of reluctance draped around his shoulders.

"Rinoa," he began, eyes averting, "Could... you hug me like that again?"

He always liked the way she smiled at him, and even if there weren't, he always saw fireworks reflect in her eyes.

In her gaze was starlight, and it erupted a whole galaxy of feelings from within him.

He shyly placed his eyes on her. ➡️

in the japanese script rinoa says squall is the coolest looking or smth along those lines (instead of the iconic meme)

and from researching it, rinoa and seifer wasn't actually a plotline in the japanese script -
