"If one actually did a survey on this sort of thing nationally"
This has been done, trans people are disproportionately found in the most deprived areas of the country.

I've thought this! In spite of the swirling threats of violence around us, there are more and more of us coming out, all the time. We won't lose this war.
Idk, try stabbing it in with a needle? 🤣
Yeah - I was in the placebo arm of the Astra Zeneca trial (and subsequently unblinded to receive two doses, and 3x Pfizer boosters since)...
1/ Yesterday, it was announced that RFK Jr. is requiring placebo-controlled studies for new vaccines—potentially delaying this fall’s COVID shots as well as the approval of other vaccines. RFK Jr.’s repeated claims is that vaccines were “never tested against placebos” is simply not true 👇
“Trans women have never felt like a risk or a threat or a problem. While I can’t speak for everyone I honestly can’t think of an example where our trans-inclusive policy has been a problem for a service user.”
- Katie Russell, CEO of a rape crisis support service.

Would love to read and share the citation for this!
this is probably super obvious but bears repeating loudly and often: if you’re a trans worker in the UK, you need to join a union STAT.
the workplace is where a lot of the pressure from the Supreme Court ruling is going to hit hardest and first.
Trans flag with ‘trans rights are human rights’ written on it.
Sending love and support to all trans, non-binary and gender queer people today (and every day).

2. Trans men and non-binary people with a cervix who have M on their medical record can now ask their GP to opt them in to the cervical cancer screening call/recall system. Thank you to the people that worked so hard to make this happen.
frankly the deep cut gay misogyny paralysis of standing there in the kitchen holding a dishcloth like a revolver, each trying to decide if the bottom is also responsible for doing the dishes is toxic relationship fuel enough for an entire TV series
How far the overton window has shifted?
I said to my 7yo tonight that the most important question in the world is "What if?" & that since the only thing we can actually (kinda) control is ourselves, that makes, "What if I ...?" the best starting point for any thought process.
"What if I was awesome?"
"What if I respected myself?"
Wrote this in 2021 - visibility means danger for trans people, but we cannot underestimate the power of seeing and connecting with one another.
Proposal:
Bro = masculine
Brah = feminine
Bruh = gender neutral
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
A person in a funky graphic shirt and glasses smiles at the camera.
A woman in a gold and silver top, with blonde hair, smiles at the camera.
The votes are in from the 2025 BHIVA elections 🗳️
Our new Chair will be @tristanjbarber.bsky.social - our first Chair with lived experience of HIV.

Congratulations both! 🎉
A photograph of two jars with chest tissue in them. The accompanying exhibit sign says: E-J'S CHEST TISSUE Museums have acquired, stored, researched and displayed human remains since the 18th century. [1] These tissue samples facilitate the future study of trans medical history. They also record the sociopolitical context within which they were preserved. This includes a five year wait on the NHS for first 296 people on London's Gender Identity intes waiting list alone (Faising for, priza! [2], and a frenzied culture of fundraising for private treatment within the trans community that's spawning club nights, social media networks, zine fairs and fashion collabs. Importantly, preserving and displaying these samples by consent, highlights a radical departure in museum practice away from the use of human remains collected non-consensually amidst widespread calls for their repatriation by Indigenous communities across the globe. This highlights the way in which the Museum of Transology's co-curatorial ethics contribute to the field of museum studies beyond the trans agenda. I’m at a trans history exhibition and someone who has had top surgery has actually donated their old chest to the museum.
How fucking hardcore is that? Legend.
I like my gay men like I like my portraits of gay men:
Wow!!! 😱😱
Oh! Now, I'd like to see an RCT where the control group's men have to wash their hands and genitals thoroughly with a bit of Hibiscrub.... 👀👀
a presentation slide that says 'why you should all medically transition' above a trans flag. To the side is an obama hope style poster with a photo of arthur that says 'TRANS'
Today, a group of my friends are doing a presentation night where we all pick a topic to talk about for ten minutes.
I have decided to spread the trans agenda.
Country is short of GPs.
We need more GPs.
Lack of money to recruit GPs
Focus on primary care is how we sustain the #NHS .
GPs spend years training.
My email and WhatsApp inboxes are full of many GP trainees concerned about job opportunities after qualification
Can imagine @miriam-margolyes.bsky.social, in character as Professor Sprout, slipping this one in
Oh yeah I love that Fergie song!
No amount of woke scolding from the most annoying people imaginable has ever made me consider abandoning my core principle of seeing all people as equal human beings
Otterly delightful!
✨My essay in @thelancet.bsky.social this week has made the front page!✨ (I didn’t know about this 🤗)
‘Reflect, Collaborate and Listen’ looks at why doctors don’t listen and the urgent need to rebalance the power dynamic in the patient - doctor relationship.

So grateful to my editor sending me print copies of The Lancet with my essay making the front cover quote!
