That sounds.....err....like a terrifyingly exciting day π¬π

A slightly more chilled day today than yesterday....swapped to the RX8, had a bit of a play round north Wales and took Scrawn for a walk.....and now I'm finishing off painting the Camaros faded plastics before doing some testing on the Chevy Landy.
So just a normal relaxing Sunday then...π
Amid all the Camaro exhaust excitement, I forgot to post this.
The old boy who owns it had an issue with his electric windows....what are the chances that his local auto electrician was open on a Saturday, and is also a fellow Volvo owner βΊοΈ
And fair play, his is in far better nick than mine π
π€ I wonder who that was....
@joehallenbeck.bsky.social , any idea? π
Oh, and just wait until next year.....I have plans ππ
As do I βΊοΈ
I cannot wait to get her finished and on their road, a "quick flip" back in '23 has turned into something so much more.
Abd the chances of her doing the Le Mans trip is getting ever so much closer to reality this year π
Why thank you kind sir π
I'll get a better video tomorrow when she's warm and not chucking out loads of condensation....and the ASBO pipe isn't wired in yet, so the valve is fluttering affecting the sound....but yeah, I'm a happy guy π
Unlike the Chevy powered Landy I'm currently wiring up βΊοΈ
Just bear in mind it's two cylinders short of being a proper one ππ
We'll find out soon.....poor lad's had his work cut out today..... it's these awkward customers wanting the moon on a stick π
Fair play, he's a grafter though, and we really appreciate that here.
I mean if I'm still working.....
Oh my word! π
As much as I wish I could be at #Rustival, instead I've got the next best thing happening.....a custom stainless exhaust system being built for the Camaro βΊοΈ
Have an awesome day mate π
You've done a hell of a job mate, I'm beyond pleased βΊοΈ
It was great to have you working down at the unit, and rest assured that it won't be the last car you'll be working on.....the next one might not even be another one of mine π
SchrΓΆdinger's Camaro ππ€£
It's booked in for MOT on the 29th, and is hopefully going to be our ride to Le Mans this year....so it'll need a good run out to a meet beforehand, hopefully one of @veedubhev.bsky.social s π€
Gotta say a huge thank you to my main man @joehallenbeck.bsky.social for his awesome work on my previously blotchy and pinkish Camaro.....fair play fella, what a transformation π
Right, back to work on the Chevy Landy, need it done tonight....got a load of other jobs piling up already π
I'd planned on taking her last year, but obviously that didn't happen.....so instead the supercharged G40 swapped Polo was pressed into service π
That was one hot, noisy and epic journey π
So whilst @joehallenbeck.bsky.social is working miracles on the bodywork, I've pressed pause on wiring up the Chevy Landy Rover to attempt to freshen up the Camaros interior plastics βΊοΈ
I bought her as a non-runner to flip back in '23, but since have fallen in love with her....and it's a long story, but without that car I wouldn't have started Brenin Automotive up again.
I owe it to her to get her properly sorted.....and she's got to be right for Le Mans this year too π
Wait....so she was actually red all this time? π
That belongs to the boss of Steel Kustoms next door..... it's a heck of a car, and he's road tripped it to Malta a couple of times already this year!
It does sound like a fractured wire.... when you feel up to it, head over and I'll get it sorted for you π
Well if you're up for the drive, I'll be at the unit all weekend mate.
I'm going to have to be.....the work's piling in and I'm still a few days off finishing this beastie π
I am however, buggering off for the afternoon now though....and as I'm the boss, no-one can stop me π€£
Where in the country are you Ash?
If you're in easy distance of Buckley, very NE Wales, you're more than welcome to pop over and I'll try and sort it.
Have you had chance to check the wires between the door and body, inside the corrugated rubber tube?
I've had countless problems where the wires snap over time as they're flexing every time the door opens.
But if you're careful and have couple of lengths of wire, you have a 12v power supply on the vehicle π
I'm flat out on this Chevy Landy at the moment, but I'll message you later on this afternoon mate.
Could very well be a fractured wire between the A pillar and door.....worth peeling the rubber back and checking at the very least.
