Perhaps worse - of the 50 municipalities with #housing targets, Ottawa's bad numbers rank 29th.
This is what we get with a provincial gov't that sets targets for housing but takes no action.

It's not too late to make @ottawacity council change its mind about taxing housing during a housing crisis.
It's incredibly frustrating that we still aren't taking it seriously.
There is federal money in the Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund that's only available if we don't raise development charges.
This is not only tone deaf when residents are already hurting financially, but *other funding is already available to the City.*
There is also a revised version available that isn't on the official agenda.
It's a smaller increase, but to resolve the housing crisis, development charges should be decreasing.
And here Ottawa is increasing them.
Planning Committee is reviewing a proposal this coming Wednesday to increase @ottawacity development charges by 15-53%.
This will add thousands to the cost of homes, during a housing crisis, as all living costs skyrocket.
Write your councillor and tell them you're opposed!
To use his own words from yesterday, Doug Ford is making a "massive mistake."
The province’s own Housing Affordability Task Force recommended fourplexes as the highest-impact policy above all else.
Formerly a housing champion, Ford is now turning his back on Ontario.
