I'm so sorry, it's appalling. Utter vandalism with devastating consequences for so many people. Thinking of you and your colleagues

I've been enjoying the photos of your Italian trip as they've reminded me of some favourite novels. Savonarola makes me think of The Name of the Rose and Ferrara is the setting for Sarah Dunant's wonderful Sacred Hearts

I do sympathise, it can make you feel really grotty. Do ring up - they can give you antibiotic cream & if necessary antibiotics. You'll feel so much better when it's cleared up. I had it both times from chemo. Last time I had to take photos of the back of my head for the GP which was tricky!

Just sobbed hardest I have since my mom died in 2020.

She missed these trials by a few months.

One of most ruthless cancers. Hard to fathom that maybe she'd still be here.

I feel such a hole inside.

In case you're wondering if we should fund mRNA research instead of another stupid war ... yes.

Wicker Galore! (1949) Life on a small Scottish island is changed forever after a ship full of wicker runs aground on the coast, and proves too much of a temptation of the local inhabitants.

What I am learning from the proliferation of AI images across Facebook is that a lot of people clearly didn't do enough Spot the Difference pictures as kids. It hasn't just added colour John!!!

ChatGPT: you’re right you’re so much smarter than him. He’s so schlubby and you’re so suave. Columbo will never catch you.

Instead of asking chatgpt, why not ask a librarian? You'll get real answers and they won't tell you to kill yourself.

good lord absolute chaos and so very paris-roubaix, one minute mathieu van der poel is at the front with wout van aert and the next he’s at the side of the arenberg trench with a mechanical that leaves him in a deficit of a MINUTE AND A HALF

The good thing about the tailwind and the men's #ParisRoubaix being 13 minutes ahead of schedule: We'll get to see more of #ParisRoubaixFemmes live. Right?

"Turns out students aren't great at asking questions well." No fucking shit. Literally any educator could tell you that. 90% of my job as a high school librarian is trying to figure out what kids actually want versus what question they asked.
