See what I'm getting at here? When someone is being loud and outrageous, that's your cue to look behind you and see what they're trying to get away with.
Later, when we went to pay our bill, I realized my wallet was gone. There was another group of people sitting in a booth behind us the whole time. They left soon after the rowdiness on the other side of the bar calmed down. They were working together.
We sat at a table and I hung my purse on the back of the chair. As we were hanging out, a group of rowdy folks across the bar got louder and one guy started trying to take off his pants. We laughed and rolled out eyes, saying, "omg, they're so drunk."
I've said it a million times, y'all. Ignore what he says. Pay attention to what he does. That goes for all of them.
When I was first starting out in my career, working on a project in Chicago, I went out for drinks with some colleagues after work.
Kimbal Musk, "When they did fund us, they realised that we were illegal immigrants"
Elon Musk, "Well"
Kimbal Musk, "Yes we were"
Elon Musk, "It's a grey area"
Kimbal Musk, "Yes.. Yes we were.. I was.. We were.. illegal immigrants"
"Defenders of democracy will have to stay united, focusing on ensuring that checks and balances remain intact and that crucial democratic watchdog institutions elude capture.
Otherwise, America will find itself sleepwalking into autocracy."

Let’s be more accurate about what Target is really doing because the headlines aren’t telling it right.
Target is bending the knee and sending a message to its customers that equity doesn’t matter and that the old systems—built to favor a few while excluding the rest—are just fine.
Tips to keep democracy alive in 2025:
1. Be Brave. Avoid helpless/hopeless talk. Authoritarians want you to feel powerless because it makes their work easier. Courage, faith, and optimism are essential. Fascism feeds on cynicism and pessimism. Starve it.

Please consider this my blanket apology for not following everyone back. Every time I look at the list, I get overwhelmed. 😵💫
Serious question: what is the difference between the evangelical desire for the "end times" and the beliefs of doomsday cults?
A lot of people, especially women who carry the load of making the holidays happen for their families, kick back and relax/recover after Christmas. No need for one-upping around here.
And?
Happy Day After Xmas and Do Absolutely F**cking Nothing Day.
I will be in my comfy with a stack of books beside me and my cat on my lap if anyone needs me.
So let's force women to be pregnant. Great idea.
Banning abortion will get more women killed. Kind of wild how Orwellian it is to called oneself "prolife." The GOP is the pro-murder party.
With all the conversation about the shooting of the United Healthcare CEO, there's one thing I can't stop thinking about.
Kyle Rittenhouse.
Too many people seem fine with shooting people in cold blood just as long as it's in the interests of maintaining white supremacy.
Lol, not a newbie. I've been on Blue sky for over a year. 🙂
If you're wondering what I'm talking about, it's this. White women who voted for Trump are manufacturing a fake threat to justify violence.
NEW: School vouchers were passed in Mississippi in the 1960s with the support of the White Citizens’ Council and a goal of continuing segregation. Money still goes to segregation academies today. Shocking story.
No clue. But I keep seeing videos on Tiktok and IG where they are acting like we are coming for them and they're all ready for a fight. 🙄
The whole conservative women posting about liberal women coming to get them is giving major "Yankees...at Tara!" vibes.
"Each of Trump's proposed appointments is a surprise. It is comforting to think that he is simply a vengeful old man, lashing out. This is unlikely. He and Musk and Putin have been talking for years. The whole idea of his campaign was that this time he had a plan"

Again, it has utterly fallen down the Memory Hole that the FIRST TIME Trump secretly partnered with Russia in 2016 to undermine Obama's foreign policy was to help Bibi defeat a resolution against illegal settlements in the West Bank.
When Musk talks about “the elites,” he can’t even pretend he’s talking about people like himself- out of touch rich white billionares, he’s clearly invoking the idea of a Jewish cabal controlling the world. He has invoked Soros multiple times, directly called him worse than Magneto
No one should delegitimate any Jew's experience in this area, especially now. As someone who reports on antisemitism, I tend to be pretty even-keel b/c it's already priced in. But many Jews are feeling more fearful, and it's not b/c anyone told them to be, but b/c of their evaluation of real events.
I am upset about this because I am not prepared for tights to make a comeback.
Today the Supreme Court hears US v Rahimi, a case about the gun rights of domestic violence offenders
Originalism says disarming abusers is unconstitutional bc the country didn't historically do so
And as I said in The Atlantic, it's going to get women killed
