My best guess: The "whole civilization will die tonight" thing is just bluster to try to force the Iranians to cave. But they won't and we'll be left with the two lose-lose options. Hopefully it's option #1 (TACO Tuesday).

Unless he's going to nuke #Iran, even if he proceeds with taking out bridges & power plants, the "whole civilization" will still be around tomorrow and Trump's threat will look silly.

Since the Iranians aren't going to fold, this is a YUGE lose-lose for Trump and all of the US.

The supposed "stable genius" and "best negotiator ever" has really boxed himself in with the #Iran ultimatum:

1) He can TACO (on a Tuesday, no less) and get laughed at in perpetuity.

2) He can follow through and subject himself and the US to war crimes and expensive reparations down the road.

I think they're taking the "no fatties" thing a bit too seriously, no?
