Last night, a Uvalde mother stood on the Oscars stage and spoke about her daughter Jackie, who was just nine years old when she was killed. Her bedroom has been frozen in time ever since.
It’s surreal to see this race covered in publications across the globe. It’s a reminder that what happens in our district can resonate far beyond it, and that the values we fight for here matter everywhere.
