Trying to gauge if anyone would be interested in backing Mansion of a Million Monsters!, my cartoony zelda-like whodunnit game!
Is that you? If it is, could you click on the "notify" button on the kickstarter page below and share? Thanks!

I'm putting the phrase "Affectionate Anarchy" alongside "Cozy Horror" as both a desirable game aesthetic but also as a life goal.
This will cure your impostor syndrome.
Finally convinced myself to learn Blender's Texture Painting and BOY HOWDY am I dumb for avoiding it this long. #gamedev
I decided to let my "design brain" rest for December and see what I could do about getting some of my old games running in newer versions of Unity (Goodbye, Unity v5)
So instead of "adding to the world" I've spent a month getting annoyed at things I did a decade ago.
Working through some feedback like "needs clouds", and OOOF its better. How did I not notice some of this stuff before. #gamedev
Just got a screenshot from a friend proving this dumb game DOES run on other people's computers, too! #GameDev is an exercise in stressing over things until your brain explodes, but every once in a while you get these little rays of light that let you catch your breath.
Competitive birdwatching minigame.
Indy's classic catch phrase, "It BELONGS in a BOOTS!"
The Animal Crossing addition to Boss Fight Books REALLY helped me cut through the fog of some of my design headaches.
Jokes on you, Steam. I still haven't updated my store assets from the LAST time you changed the sizes.
Apparently TMBG's Istanbul (Not Constantinople) was a cover? Everything is a lie!

I love the slow evolution of vector art as you work on it. It has a lot of sculpture vibes as you trim away the bits that are wrong. #GameDev
Not quite what I intended, butttttt it brings me joy. GET 'EM, OVERLY-AGGRESSIVE DODOS! #gamedev
"The N64 controller looks like Nintendo just let an AI prompt design it."
The next generation is brutal.

I love when presents are a reflection of the giver. "I love this thing, and I love you, and while this isn't normally your thing, I think you could end up loving it, too."
Or I got someone Samba de Amigo and I'm trying to justify it.
Good news! A new Bermuda Triangle just launched.

I'm being EXTREMELY productive this holiday break - I finally finished Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap! Honestly, loved it. For some reason I always treated it as "not a mainline game", but once I gave it a chance I found it INCREDIBLY charming.
I just tried to reuse a 3d model I made a few years ago, and when I looked at it I immediately had a visceral "ewww" reaction, so I THINK I might be getting slightly better if I can tell how ugly my old stuff is? #gamedev
Sharing #gamedev progress is like "okay, ignore that they are in a cave, and that the spiders aren't balanced, and the health bar is showing the wrong value, but look at the angry birds I got spawning!"
Still patiently waiting for the 4k PS5 remaster of Yoda Stories
"ohhh right right right" is my secret codeword for "I still don't understand, but it's best we just move on, for I am a lost cause."
<Eyes bookshelf suspiciously> Maybe... maybe I can fit THREE layers of books on each shelf.
"It gets better" is slowly evolving into "It stays about the same, but at least you can stress-eat taco bell on the way home"
It's easy to forget how insanely stressful it is to be a kid. School is just going to work for a boss who, by design, keeps assigning you jobs you have ZERO experience in. And THEN you don't even get to decide what you have for dinner.
"Your love language is buying people dumb stuff that really you want for yourself" I mean, maybe?
I'm getting everyone in my family a video game for Christmas, which I think firmly solidifies what my love language is.
It is always hard to tell if you are "changing something because you suddenly found the right answer to a design problem" or are "changing something because you are in an infinite loop of change that will devour your soul before you ever settle on an answer" #gamedev
