Houston City Council approves proposal limiting HPD's ICE cooperation Houston City Council approved a proposal from three city council members limiting Houston police officers’ cooperation with ICE agents on Wednesday, with Mayor John Whitmire in support.

NEW: Houston City Council voted today to end the practice of holding people based solely on ICE administrative warrants.

These warrants are not signed by a judge, and detaining someone based on one violates the Fourth Amendment.

FULL CONCERT (Texas Opry House June 29th, 1974) Willie Nelson
FULL CONCERT (Texas Opry House June 29th, 1974) Willie Nelson YouTube video by Vintage Willie Nelson

Roughly 50 years ago, a complete performance by Willie at the Austin Opry House, which he owned. It's so great to see Mickey Raphael in this video and know that, 50 years later, he's still playing at Willie's side. That says something (good) about both of them, IMO.
