It concludes:- "Responses to drug use among sections of LGBTQ+ community should be situated in better understanding and addressing the more common form of substance use, particularly nicotine and alcohol use, and their associated harms." 2/3

I’ve highlighted a section from the guidance that reads ‘How the different sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV/AIDs are transmitted.’
The new Sex and Relationships guidance issued by the Department of Education appears unaware that a) AIDS can’t be transmitted and b) the ‘S’ stands for syndrome and isn’t just a plural for AID.
Educational guidance so ill-informed can’t be trusted.
And it isn’t even the worst thing about it. 😡
Great news, and a great route. Thank you to @sahirhouse.bsky.social
for making this happen.

#OnThisDay 1999, a neo-Nazi nail bombed the Admiral Duncan pub in Soho deliberately targeted London's LGBT community. The explosion killed Andrea Dykes, John Light, and Nik Moore, and injured over 70 more. Today, we honour their memory, and stand united against hate, always.
