Palate cleanser, a little redraw from 2023

illustration inspired by Charlotte Perkins-Gilman's 1891 short story "The Yellow Wallpaper" depicting a woman touching sickly yellow torn wallpaper on a wall while shadowy hands reach toward her. There is another tall shadow of a figure on the wall and both figures look toward the viewer.

"The color is repellent, almost revolting; a smouldering unclean yellow, strangely faded by the slow-turning sunlight."

I made a "Yellow Wallpaper" piece back in 2017, but I re-read the story over the weekend and wanted to try again. Much happier with this version 🖤

Fanart of Hans and Henry from Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Henry is on his knees in a bedroom, barechested, with Hans half on the floor, clutching to Henry as if his life depends on it. His face is in anguish, fingers digging into Henry's skin. Henry holds him. You can only see a little of his face behind Hans.

Love and Death

Mavis, Aspect of Illona A woman surrounded by bees and falling leaves that look like they're bleeding. She has a bee's hive in her locs and horns resembling branches.
