I wrote and posted this on another social media site early in his first regime- HERE IS TRUMP'S FUTURE; He will spend all of his time, energy, and his minion's money in various courtrooms, impotently defending himself from a myriad of criminal and civil charges. He will walk around in public wearing pajamas to appear demented, and will employ a walker to appear infirm, hoping to garner sympathy at his sentencing. It will be to no avail. He will enter a federal penitentary at some point in 2024, where he will pass away disgraced, destitute, alone, and embittered, and will be entombed somewhere with much undeserved pomp and ceremony. There will be 24 hour security around his tomb due to all the people that will line up there to evacuate themselves upon his grave night and day. The False Orange God will have the most expensive grave in America to maintain, and will continue to be a financial drain on American taxpayers for decades after his much celebrated demise.

I don't know, chatgpt. I'm watching my neighbors getting hauled off by masked federal agents who are using the surveillance state to spy on everyone, while money piles up in rich people's bank accounts. I don't think polarization is really the big problem. What you're describing sounds intense, and it makes sense that it would shake your sense of stability. But I'm going to push back a bit on the framing, because the specific picture you're painting-masked federal agents broadly sweeping up neighbors while constantly spying on "everyone"-is not how things typically operate in the U.S. Federal law enforcement agencies like Federal Bureau of Investigation or U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement do carry out arrests, and sometimes those officers wear tactical gear or don't immediately identify themselves in a visible way, especially in high-risk situations. That can look alarming from the outside. But they are still operating under legal frameworks-warrants, court orders, jurisdiction

limits― even if those processes aren't visible in the moment. On surveillance: there are real debates and concerns about government data collection, especially since disclosures around programs linked to the National Security Agency. But that's different from indiscriminate, constant monitoring of every individual's day-to-day life. Most surveillance is targeted or constrained by law, even if people reasonably argue those constraints should be tighter. Where your concern does line up strongly with reality is economic inequality. Wealth concentration has increased significantly over the past few decades, and that can make it feel like the system is tilted. That frustration is widely shared across political lines. So there are two things happening at once: • Real systemic pressures (cost of living, inequality, trust issues) A perception of breakdown that can get amplified when events look opaque or threatening If something specific is happening on your street-like arrests—it might help

to ground it in concrete details: is it immigration enforcement, a criminal investigation, something else? The context matters a lot, and without it, your brain understandably fills in the scariest version of the story. If you want, describe what you're seeing more specifically, and I can help you sort out what's likely going on versus what might be getting amplified.

existennialmemes 9s ago Listen, if a Bad President can come in and take away our rights and we're dependent on a Good President replacing them in four years to give us back our rights, then we do not have any rights. If politicians can take or distribute them, then they're not "inalienable" and they're not "rights." We don't have inalienable rights we have conditional privileges, divvied out according to the whims of whoever currently holds the reins. And if we want to have actual rights, then we must build a system in which no one has the power to take them away to begin with.

The Trumpian trade war playbook. Maybe this is how Donald Trump has always conducted his conflicts. I don't know. But I studied his conduct of trade war very closely for my recent eBook, World War Trade: Conflict, Containment, and the Emergent World Trading Order. And there the pattern is clear. • Test the waters with a small but norm-shattering shock. Move on to a giant shock that grabs headlines. Assume the opponent will be quickly overawed, so no strategy or Plan B is necessary. Avoid clear goals so that any outcome can be spun as a victory. Retreat when the domestic political costs get too high. Immediately recast history and extemporise strategy and goals so that the withdrawal can be spun as a win to the political base. Can we all agree that there's something wrong if a person using a wheelchair is stuck in a 4th floor apartment with no elevator and has to be carried up or crawl up the stairs? Or your landlord is sexually harassing you, and then evicts you? Or you're a veteran with PTSD who lives in their car because you have a service dog and everywhere has a "no pet" policy? Or you can't use a homeless shelter because they only serve Christians? Or you can't buy a house in Florida because you're a specific ethnicity?
