You don't need to post on every platform.
You don't need to post every single day.
You don't need to hop on that trend.
You don't need to "go viral."

You do need to prioritize your mental health, and if that means doing less, then do less.

If you burn out, you won't be creating content anyway.

Ooooh, would love to learn more! Always interested in how to make content more accessible (unless interesting here means not actually accessible).

THIS advice. All day, every day. Social media sharing is a form of generosity.

And nonprofits should make that part of their ask for GivingTuesday.

That's wild! I'm a social media manager for a nonprofit, and my advice to everyone has been to get an account to claim their name, then figure out if their audience is there. It's not right for everyone, but for some it's going to be great. Wild to write any platform off completely.

This year, I'm super thankful for everyone who told me to screenshot all the positive things that have been said about me and my social media work and put it into a folder called "Kudos."

10/10 recommend.

Reminder: if someone tells you that your organization's social media is awesome, tell your social media manager. It'll make their day.
