But Sharon ... is also Selene Nightfall, the author of a biography about Raja Jackson, Rampage Jackson's Son, according to this Amazon listing. Of course, this book's description is full of "hmmm sounds AI" and Nightfall's other books are just of recent newsy figures

One of these approaches I received was from the "Newsletter Crew" which claims to have "230,000+ enthusiastic backers actively looking from projects like [mine]"
One of their reviewers on their site, Sharon Roddy, says:
The scams are unsophisticated but can be convincing. Many are dressed up as marketing opportunities to reach huge audiences that don't exist, for the price of a few $100USD. Others ape Kickstarter Support saying your account will be frozen (almost got me). Impersonation of famous TikTokers also!

They don't tell you about the sheer amount of scams that you're subjected to once you publish your Kickstarter page. I'm averaging 1.4 scams a day since launch. It's been crazy. So many vulnerable folks just trying to create dream projects must be harmed with these vultures.
Getting to $100k in this campaign would mean we can start creating longform videogames writing, beautifully illustrated, before the magazine drops later in the year. I don't know what the giant moon is doing !!!

This is almost certainly not a real image, and this account is one of the many astronomy accounts on X that routinely post misinformation and alter imagery. It's already been caught posting Artemis I images for a few internet likes. Weird behaviour!

to everyone who submitted a pitch for @continuemag.bsky.social so far. it is absolutely ridiculous how many Good stories are pitched and its so freakin' wild that these stories struggle to find homes. we're really missin a trick, as media, not doing more with stories because they mention videogames

We have about a week left on the Kickstarter. Particularly intriguing is if we reach $85k @serrels.bsky.social formally apologises to the Commonwealth of Australia for his takes on fairy bread. Crazy!!!
That's one part, also, it took less than 5 minutes to fool the Pangram AI checker (at least the publicly available one) so I am not sure exactly how reliable it is, even if the team here point to its high success rate.

Spent a couple of days in Canberra. Nice city. No pics. Attended the "Science Meets Parliament" gala dinner Wednesday. Lots of great scientists, for some reason plenty of them lining up to take photos with Pauline Hanson, who I'm not sure believes fully in Science or Parliament. Bizarre scenes.
