Everything else is something their society has built to support royals. Their society is built on a foundation of sand. For example, maybe there's a sword that can be pulled out of a stone only by a "rightful king"? And all that the sword does is just check for a crown-shaped aura.

But on this side, the truth of "royalty" is known. Everybody has a shape to their aura, and royalty has crown-shaped aura. That's *it*. The other side has built up their whole culture around treating them as special for what basically amounts to "they have freckles".

I mean, we already have some pretty clear clues. The "other side" has built up royalty (those with royal auras) as if they're the end-all be-all of society, to the point to where even having a leg to stand on, revolutionaries are hitting our side (a hard process) to find royalty for standing.
