I think there is enough evidence and expressed lived experience to say that sexual abuse is intergenerational.
The disgraceful 'Epstien files' show a more opportunistic, entitled mentality around sexual assault perpetrated by powerful 'cluster B' personality types.

It is never OK. One prominent precipitant is intergenerational family socialisation.
Sexual abuse is more often than not a toxic learned bhaviour, perpetuated by power relationships within family and other intimate settings.
It is just wrong and extraordinarily damaging.
