At the @yorkshireccc.bsky.social Members' Forum on Saturday, we were able to present our cheques to the Club, two £1500 donations to the mens' and womens' squad. These donations will be spent on booking flights/accomodation for younger senior pros playing cricket overseas this coming winter.

Also, we will be running the bookstall during lunch on days 1 and 2 of the Hampshire game. This will be located outside the Long Room doors, weather permitting. Please note, we do not want any donations of books!

Once again, many thanks to @yorkshireccc.bsky.social Academy players and their coaches for attending our yearly meeting with them. As ever, the Academy players spoke very well about their current cricketing journey and aspirations, and fielded our members' questions astutely.

Jonathan has a new venture, along with other freelance journalists, to cover nearly all first class counties from an independent, multimedia perspective, something which has been lacking nationally. We strongly recommend our followers to express their interest ahead of launch at the end of March.

Many thanks to members who attended our AGM yesterday, as well as our viewing of the film "Game Changer", all about the remarkable life of Gian Singh Virdi. It was great to hear from Gian after the film, as well as the film's director Paul Harker about the production and background of it. 1/2

Thank you to Jasmine Nicholls, Liam Holgate and Howard Ferguson for attending our meeting yesterday. It was fascinating to hear from those we see/hear from on a matchday but don't really know the ins and outs of their roles. We were able to takeaway lots of interesting nuggets of information.

The YCCSA is sad to report the death of Veronica Denby.
Veronica was a founding member of the Association and was a committee member for several years. She will be remembered especially by those who visited the Kabin where she was a familiar face for so many years. 1/2
