Participate in a Nutrition Study about Red Meat and other Protein Sources! We are conducting a research study to compare the health effects of red meat sourced from a local Stillwater rancher, Impossible Meat (a vegan meat alternative), and beans. In this study, we want to understand if any of these are better for your health, and if they have any effect on your behavior. The study is being conducted by researchers in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at OSU. If you participate, you would need to make several visits to the laboratory for some measurements. At these visits we’ll collect a variety of self-report (surveys) and biological data (e.g., blood draw). You will also be asked to consume a protein source (one of the three mentioned above) daily for eight weeks. We will provide this protein food to you free of cost. You can receive up to $300 for participating in this study. The total in-lab time commitment over the course of the entire study is approximately 4-4.5 hrs
