I think the issue at hand is that self-appointed online experts are very, very important people, and directing our attention towards trivial matters like “lunar exploration” is offensive, when it’s really armchair photo analysts that deserve public adoration.

I mean, the usual critique of that episode has always been that it’s far too subtle with its message.
