I've been impressed by the "Pod boys" who are essentially Obama's wing and how they've changed their mind on Israel and want a more ambitious economic platform. Let's see...

The scandal is incomparable. Not more or less serious. But incomparable.
That isn't the fault of the civil service
Really there arw no good solutions, so i actually favour a compromise between the disastrous partiocratic system plaguing the West right now and citizens assemblies : parties present lists and people on those lists are chosen at random to occupy party seats. Mad but better than current partiocracy
Disagree, creating a political caste (which btw despite the last 2 PMs is still the norm) is a terrible idea. You'll basically have Labour princelings amd High Tory grandees along with the usual failed estate agent grifter types flocking to Reform seats.
What category of fraud is this out of the 4?
I'm pretty sure Steve Baker read this book and then said he had "got" politics.
Well, its a 2 way street. There's serious abuse of student or social care visas from there that shpuldn't be underestimated, and at the same time it makes very little sense to strip ILR so radically as certain politicians suggest.
His quoting of Tupac for example
Europe should support an alternative to the Shah's son and the ridiculous MEK. There are more than enough sensible people in the diaspora here, the problem is the Shah and MEK's respective operations are the loudest and well funded.
Some of the FBPE crowd need to realise if the UK rejoins it should be to radically reform the EU bureaucracy in terms of corruption and transperency. But at least there's already some movement with OLAF (and a more competent Belgian Security Service). It is not a cleaner institution than Westminster
Reminder, they had a Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders whose links to the disappeared Libya funds in Belgium and to the Kazakhgate affair were very plain to see, but the feckless EP still approved him and the Commission saod nothing. He is now in the dock for money laundering via lottery tickets.
Its obvious any Reform led government in the UK at this point would rule by decree anyway. Basic principles of law would be left in tatters. Constitution based on vibes doesn't help...
Reducing him to just that leaves a lot of questions unanswered.
Quite simply Reform have an advantage due to Labour (especially at leadership, at least when McSweeney was there) often hating Polanski *as much* as Farage and never stepping aside. And the LibDems have a cast iron policy of competing no matter what.
Whatever the state can afford. Which will not be much.
And I say we because its most certainly a Western European problem, of policies designed based on the thought that their productivity would mirror Les Trentes Glorieuses, that people wouldn't live to a 100 which is great but also costly and that tax rates could stay low.
We worry about that too. We will be given a form of minimal social security at 70 because the Boomers will have paid themselves a 20-30 year holiday based on flawed calculations and formulas while also having demanded tax cuts, WFA, free buses, etc. All on borrowed money that we'll pay interest on.
He's an OG Tea Partier while also being a GOP hack. The Overton window has shifted though and the Tea Partiers still like to project their views on Trump, much like the adjacent Libertarian types did. The latter have woken up but GOP hacks will remain GOP hacks. +they have Rubio in waiting.
Source: trust me bro i cant read a population pyramid or see that productivity has completely stagnated.
Please don't spare the Democrats ́ike Fetterman or Manchin who thought pandering to this idiot was worthwhile.
Another thing that has radicalised him of course is the French billionaire adventurers starting to fund think tanks and media publications promoting far right bile and he is their conduit.
Im not so sure, a lot of people just decide their politics based off of a reel these days, and he has mastered that art. But yes, because he thinks the other place is representative of the electorate as a whole he's gonna snooker himself and hit a ceiling.
He is apparently addicted to social media. No joke.
She has no CV to be a university rector but now we know what her real asset was : getting the big contracts off the EU. How are other universities supposed to compete if CoE graduates set the terms? Whole place needs a root and branch culture change.
Et portant l'affaire de la crèche de la grand place fait plus de buzz et de unes des journaux...
unemployed become paid civil servants who get to go "touch grass" at certain times of the day exploring different properties to see if theyre used. When I was long term unemployed my psychologist recommended this practice to me. It'll be far better for their health than being online. I shud b a spad
Absolutely agree, that's what I meant.
The idea is you have consistent enough check up to avoid a situation like Spanish tax exiles in Andorra leaving the lights on all year round in an empty home. You check if the owner of the property uses it or is speculating on it. A more "thought through" policy was the Dementia Tax imo. It failed.
