Peter Cushing’s house by the sea, Whitstable. Find the wonderful Old Neptune pub and walk to the left (facing the sea) for 10-15 mins. It’s fitting that the house is as delightful and charming as the actor himself.
@lizbethmyles.bsky.social You may well have already visited on a pilgrimage…

Take a deep breath… the alleyways of Whitstable.

The Banksy of Whitstable… Catman, apparently.
Loved it on first broadcast, aged about 10. Psychedelic and slightly mystical. I was hooked!
I get what you mean about being so “starved of representation” you accept whatever you get. An old Sikh mate of mine told me his family loved Mind Your Language as it was the only show with Indian characters. My family would go mad whenever Eurovision was on, just to see the Greek/Cypriot entries.
That beach has definite Dr Who grey quarry cheap alien landscape vibes
Great picture, perhaps with some perspective issues. The SPV looks suspiciously long, like the front engine of a locomotive.
Hate to think how you will bring colour to his room if he asks for a vibrant yellow colour to be introduced.
That’s a work of genius. Made me realise that Matt Berry’s performance was heavily influenced by Tom Adams. Any chance of an Alan “Fluff” Freeman Brentford Nylons Supercut, or have you already scaled that particular Everest? Not ‘alf!
I understand that one of the missing episodes that’s just been returned is that Christmas classic, The Feast of Uggo. Very little is known about it but we do have these precious B&W telesnaps (definitely not AI) from the episode kindly provided by uber fan Ian “Completely Sane” Levine.
Herbert van Thal???? 🧐 I assumed this was a writer having a bit of fun with a pseudonym, but lo and behold he seems to have actually existed!
Just seen the Christmas episode. My God, he was even up there on his own on Christmas Day, without anyone giving him a blind bit of notice, while the others did the hokey-cokey round the swimming pool amid the fake snow. What did he do to deserve it?
Spot on about the colour palette. My memory of the mid-70s is that brown was such a dominant colour.
As I’ve found numerous times, despite telling myself “this is the last book/object/whatever that I desperately need to complete my collection”, the closer you get to your destination, the further away the shore seems to be.
A sequel to Biggles Flies Undone!
I’ll get my coat…
It’s bigger on the inside.

Absolutely applaud your work preserving film collections and am truly delighted that you found two episodes of missing Doctor Who. 99% of Who fans feel the same way. Apologies for the 1% who will be irritating, obnoxious, entitled nutters. Guess that’s the same with most fandoms. 🤷♂️
I loved Kevin Stoney’s iconic performance as Hamble. Surely the inspiration for Servalan?
And let’s pray that our keeper, whichever of them plays, doesn’t have another nervous breakdown. 🤦♂️
In case no one had noticed. Just sayin’
Now that’s some first issue.
The 1970s - when progressive politics and reasonable pricing intersected. Those were the days. Sigh
I watched it on original broadcast. Its peculiarity is more apparent 50 years later. I remember this having a similar vibe.

We’ve all been there with similar experiences. I’m sure you have seen it since, but if not…

God help us… 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Well, it was horrible to see that poor keeper have a nervous breakdown on his debut and be hooked after 15 minutes. Quite distressing, and that’s coming from a Chelsea fan.
