Today is my cat’s three year adopt-a-versary. I went to the shelter “just to look” but I guess it was love at first sight.

I had the idea of making it look like a photo was being taken of the Saint Bernard and that the rabbit was in the way of the shot, but I couldn’t quite get it right so I abandoned that idea

I eventually decided to draw northern lights in the sky because it’d be something new. I drew the dog in the background but as I continued it just didn’t seem to fit so I took him out. Maybe some day he’ll have his own drawing though

Decided to just do winter but I felt like it was missing something. I sketched some bunnies and began to put them in the background but then switched it to have the rabbit in front and dog in the background

Crazy story. This drawing actually started as a Saint Bernard standing on a hill. I was going to do it for Christmas but didn’t start in time. Moved it to valentines. Also didn’t finish in time

I drew the northern lights by drawing scribbley lines in different neon type colors. Then I used a Gaussian blur on them and turned down the opacity a bit on each

Took my cat, Zelenskyy, in for his yearly vet checkup. We had a new doctor today and he asked if there was a story about Z’s name. I said I named him after Ukraine’s president and he’s like “oh ok! Did you know he used to be a comedian?” And I’m like oooh I know lol
