i do think Froslass/A-Ninetales has some potential, relying on Aurora Veil for survivability despite the typings, but i think it’s gonna rely on coming up with specific outplays against all these sun teams who are always gonna be tough matchups. and Fros doesn’t hit rain mons/Water types well either
yeah, the thing with mega Froslass is i think she’s very strong in theory and the snow teams can be scary, but her matchups into the dominant stuff in the current format are very bad. Zard Y is everywhere, trick room is really strong and she *has* to OHKO the setter or she loses, etc

i’m only using recruits i’ve never bothered to get Pokemon Home set up, but i’ve found it easier than i would’ve expected to put real teams together

the Drampa was initially a Mega Golurk, but that really felt like a weak point and he wasn’t accomplishing much. immediately after swapping him out for Drampa, i won 6 straight to get promoted
Drampa is a monster in trick room in this format, and Berserk is a secretly great ability
being able to put trick room up with Oranguru and immediately threaten double sun-boosted eruption without having to switch is crazy. Torkoal already burns through most things with double eruption, and for mega Camerupt you basically have to double resist fire or you’re dead

i was really optimistic this time too, but the theme continues that he’s a resource character who doesn’t actually have to manage resources, even if it’s now only in certain situations and not all the time. lock him out of focus or reload for a bit after gunshots and maybe you’ll have a real game
Happy Chaos getting a drastic rework with a ton of significant nerfs only for the new version of him to also have a game breaking blockstring infinite is the most Guilty Gear Strive thing i could’ve possibly imagined. the game will never be good until HC is completely gone or unplayably bad
