I’d highly recommend the audiobooks if you get a chance. The audio adds a whole extra layer.

Lunches made for the rest of the week. Wanted to try something new so made Pasta Alla Zozzona a dish from Rome that is a cross between a Carbonara and Amatriciana
Hardcover copies of the Brandon Sanderson Cosmere novel Isles of the Emberdark and the Matt Dinniman novel Operation Bounce House

My read and gaming wrap ups.
Very happy with managing to get the 52 books done this year after having been on a reading lul the last few years.
Only managed to finish 16 games this year, just managed to sneak in a few shorter ones from my backlog right at the end.

Sunrise over the River Clyde
A very moody sunrise this morning
Book number 2 finished, got off to a slow start this year but starting to make some progress now.
Straight into the next book now, which is book 3 of the Rivers of London series, Rivers Underground.

The magic of the FA cup in full display in the Orient v City game. What a goal to take the lead from Orient
Finally got round to finishing my first book of the year. Took me longer than I would have wanted but it was definitely worth it.

You couldn’t paint a red neck on these cunts. The issue isn’t the employees, it’s the employers.
The guy has clearly never done a proper days work in his life and it shows with stupid comments like this.
Absolutely gutted to see Kyogo leave but to have Jota back definitely softens the blow.
Can’t wait to see what a front 3 of Jota, Maeda and Khun can do.
Great start to the week, get to the train station and the train I usually get is cancelled, next one is delayed so I wait around for that. It disappears from the board, so I wait for a bit on the next train only to find out it’s not stopping at my stop. This means I’m now going to be late for WFH 🤦🏻♂️
Helps if I actually wait for the video to upload before posting.
I even managed to sneak in 1 x 5 at 100kg on my squat. Didn’t log it since it would mess up my training plan but I did record it since I was going for a 1RM but had a full set in the tank.
Been a relatively quiet week this week. I’ve only managed to get my workout in today but still making great progress managed PRs on all on Squat , OHP and Deadlift today.
Weight had been fairly stable this week with me coming in at 110.6 today.
Reading: Cirque du Freak series by Darren Shan is the main one I can remember
Listening: Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, Paramore, MCR and various other pop punk/emo
It wasn’t the prettiest game but we got the job done in the end and that was all that mattered tonight.
It was the same story as the last few weeks again. Should have been out of sight the first half then let them into the game in the 2nd half.
It’s absolutely worth it, the Stormlight Archives is one of the best series I’ve read.
I’ve just finished the first season of Mashle on Netflix and that was great fun. I’d also recommend Sakamoto Days it only has 2 episodes out currently but it’s great.
I’m about halfway through Wind and Truth at the moment and I don’t want it to end. Don’t think I can wait another 4 years for the next book
That Dundee derby was a great end to the 4th round of the Scottish cup. No idea how Dundee United didn’t manage to get an equaliser in that last 10 minutes.
Great move for MacIver, from the little I’ve seen of her as Scotland No. 1 she’s got a great career ahead of her
I’ve not read that one but had a quick look at the synopsis and that’s a definite add to the reading list.
I’m about halfway through the latest book of the Stormlight Archives series and I don’t want it to end because I know I’ve got so long to wait until the next one. Luckily I’ve missed a few of the Cosmere novels so I have something to keep me going for a bit
📖: Moons Over Soho - Ben Aaronovitch
📖: Eye of the World - Robert Jordan
🎧: Wind and Truth - Brandon Sanderson
Difficult to just pick 3 but I’d have say in no particular order, Fourth Wing, Tress of the Emerald Sea and Theory of Everything Else
Final workout of the week done.
Managed another set of PBs on Squat and OHP, didn’t manage an increase in deadlift this time round but I did expect it progress to start slowing at these weights.
Weight for this week is headed in the right direction, good week all round.

Todays music choice for the last gym session of the week
Sanderson is one of my favourite authors, I only discovered his work a couple of years ago and I’ve slowly been working my way through everything and I’ve not been disappointed yet.
His standalone cosmere novels are fantastic, I’d really recommend Tress if the Emerald Sea
Calmac is having a goal of the season competition with himself this season. Yet another fantastic strike from the captain
This afternoons game of choice before the Celtic game
