I also like that it allows for different formats (audio, ebook, print) to all calibrate to the same spot for those comments without the reader needing to do the adjustments. It’s done already so very enjoyable.
One thing I like about StoryGraph is that the buddy reads there allow for people to share thoughts about the section of the book they are on without its being a spoiler for others until they read to that section. It can capture the immediate experience someone has while allowing partner to catch up.
Looks great! What a difference backstitching makes.
Yes, so many nights I just shrug my shoulders and a note to check highlight reels later.
App streaming to watch on my TV puts the commentary out of sync with action too. Another reason to just skip the streaming. I know I’m not alone experiencing this.
I’m not sure I can read Vineland by Pynchon which is the book that movie was based on. I haven’t seen the movie either.
Bhattacharya, Letai & other politicals at NIH keep trying to to say all at NIH is fine, because they spent the full budget last year. This well researched article from @carolynyjohnson.bsky.social explains exactly why many scientists are still struggling. www.washingtonpost.com/science/2026...
Yes, I feel the same. I also feel like moments like this make such a difference on one’s path of healing. It makes me tear up in a hopeful way because the community is coming together.
My kids agree with me about why scissors are one of our most vital kitchen tools.
True trick and I use it at some stores c but they don’t have misting devices at Trader Joe’s.

We know you are for all Californians and this is just one more way to show how you are there for us - all of us.
So much joy here that I cannot help but smile. Thanks for sharing this important story. What a community and what a guy!
Fantastic progress!
I agree. We have the hardest time watching on Prime with the audio completely out of sync with the play. It’s awful.
A floating lamp that is separate from the line of floating lamps in the background. Photo taken at dusk and lamps are glowing from the inside against the contrast of a gray watery background.
A photograph of a variety of decorated lanterns from a lantern festival on a body of water. The water has gentle ripples and appearance mostly dark gray with some lighter areas where there is more light reflected from the outdoor lights.
So peaceful to observe a lantern festival. The community ambiance feels strong because the atmosphere has an abundance of hope.
Thank you for sharing this information.
It’s looking fantastic! 🧶
Can’t wait to see it finished!
Through the back loop
Mine is like that too - and I have been drying it as I pull out a bit of the excess. Same with rosemary. I wish my tarragon would behave like this, but it’s looking very sad right now with just one little sprig that is hanging in there. Not yet at the nursery to replenish from last year’s planting
Looks nice. Try on over your heel. Colorwork socks don’t have as much give. It’s super cute so I am rooting for you that they are a purr-fect fit!
A screenshot with the title, “Quote of the Day: St. Elmo’s Fire. It is from returntothe80s blog and depicts a photo of Mare Winningham, who played the character of Wendy. The quote is: “Yea… ya wanna know what’s great? Last night I woke up in the middle of the night to make myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich… and ya know, it was my kitchen, it was my refrigerator, it was my apartment… and it was the BEST peanut butter and jelly sandwich that I have had in my entire life.”
So nice of your dad & boyfriend! 🍕🍻
When getting our new home and setting up in the first night, this quote inspired me and our dinner.
The cables and the yarn are both beautiful!
I love that you’re curious: go for it!
Free in California too.
I did a computer file cleanup. 😎
Baking set to opera. Found this weirdly satisfying.
People can also get it for free when the indulge in a creative effort for the sake of creating and exploring and being curious. It’s not about perfection but process here to get those pleasurable feelings. We need more in this world - it would have more beauty and joy.
Bluesky mom, I believe this about you too.
I’m going to imagine that to bring me more joy. At mine, the customer in front of me was angry with the clerk and told her she should take her as next customer as she’d already been waiting in line. I don’t know the whole story, but neither clerk nor customer were kind or lowkey.
