War with Iran is needless, thoughtless, and illegal under international law and the US Constitution. Like previous wars of adventure, it will end badly for US interests after costing countless innocent lives, traumatizing communities, and further dividing our country. My heart is broken.

Most small businesses owners won’t pay this tax (unless the owner has income over a million a year after expenses). But very small businesses will benefit from more than doubling the small business B&O tax credit that this bill will enable.
One of the top things I hear from my community is about the need to increase funding for k-12 education. More than half of this revenue will be directed to these kinds of core government services.
These taxes on those taking home more than a million dollars a year will be reinvested in core government services and targeted tax reductions on sale taxes, small business taxes and working families tax credits.
Washington has one of the most upside down tax codes in the nation. Those who earn the least pay the highest percentage in state and local taxes. It’s not fair. It’s not right. And we can fix it.

I see no productive role for ICE in my community. We should use every lawful mechanism to hold those responsible to account, and every nonviolent chance to raise our voices in protest.
ICE and DHS are not making our communities safer. The direction of this administration is deliberately inflaming tension, frightening innocent people, and acting with lawless, deadly violence. The killing of Rene Nichole Good by ICE agents and the shooting yesterday in Portland are heartbreaking.
Boosting our economy while supporting local farmers is a win-win! Excited for our community to gain this resource!
