Imagine how much better our country would be if we prioritized the needs of the people over the whims of the ultra-wealthy.

I don’t think we talk nearly enough about the fact that corporations like Amazon, don’t pay a single cent to maintain the roads they use, the transportation system they use, the courts they use, they pay nothing for the infrastructure that is absolutely critical to their business.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

Together we are stronger, more beautiful, and this video is everything hate can never be because love is also stronger than hate.

This is amazing. The love and kindness and humanity of it. The way Obama lets Mamdani be the star to these little ones. The way they all cluster around Mamdani, and he picks up a whole group of them, just the all of it. It’s what hate can never be.

A reminder, as Obama and Mamdani come together for the first time in person, that Mamdani is everything the GOP said Obama was... but wasn't: an African-born socialist Muslim.

Young adult happiness is falling. Percent of young people who are pretty or very happy has dropped from 88% to 76% over the last 15 years after having held fairly steady between 1980 and 2010

My hottest “I have no data to back this up” take is that phones aren’t making young people less happy. What’s making them less happy is living in a world where everyone is having their reality defined by recommendation algorithms that can only care about whether something keeps you watching.
