Yes agree it’s not easy. We don’t require research for visitors at all but try to enable the possibility with funding and students for the professional development of the visiting professor. Often these positions can be extended to 2 years as well, but we can only guarantee one to start.

Also excited for my lab's first paper with talented Middlebury undergraduate coauthors Eliza Wieman '23 and Mia Tarantola '23! Mia wrote her thesis on data analysis of the UED and tr-XRD data of these PbS nanocrystals and Eliza took total scattering data of the same dots during her postbac.

Great to work with Burak Guzelturk, Justin Ondry and Josh Portner from Talapin lab, Rich Schaller and his group, Jihong Ma Lab at UVM, Lindenberg group, and more on this project using the great user facilities at Argonne APS, SLAC MeV-UED, and Argonne CNM

In a new paper just published in Advanced Materials we reveal an ultrafast symmetry change in PbS quantum dots upon photoexcitation. The degree of this symmetry change is controllable by changing the PbS surface chemistry.
