Pretty nice sunset as seen from Federal Way on Monday night! #wawx
You won. You got a world that doesn't mask, that doesn't vaccinate, that sticks its fingers in its ears whenever death tolls come up.
If immunocompromised people are burdening you because they miss the brief window when you cared? Go to therapy.
Yeah, I'm real tired of this narrative that disabled people "enjoyed" lockdown. Lockdown sucked. It just sucked less than dying of COVID, a thing the abled world doesn't care about anymore.
I'm also tired of abled people mourning their time in lockdown more than they mourn the 1.2 million dead.
My recording of "Signore, ascolta!" is finally out everywhere but Amazon (my choice) and Apple Music (their choice). Liù is a role that is way too big for my voice, but this is a nice showcase "stretch aria."

NICE
Toller Cranston captured mid-air in a dramatic leap, wearing a bright red, form-fitting outfit with a yellow long-sleeve top underneath. His arms are extended gracefully above and behind him, and his legs are bent in a dynamic pose. He has curly hair and is looking toward the camera. Behind him is Toronto City Hall, with its two curved towers and central council chamber. A Canadian flag is visible to the left, and a group of people sit along the edge of the skating rink below, watching.
On this day in 1949, Toller Cranston was born in Hamilton.
A highly influential figure skater, he is credited with bringing a new level of artistry to men's figure skating. He won an Olympic bronze medal and won every Canadian championship from 1971 to 1976. He died in 2015.
VERY COOL PERSON: It's four-twenty, you know what that means?
ME: Hell yeah! [starts shoving blackbirds into a pie]
I think that Liu is my favourite Watson because traditionally when Holmes does some brilliant deduction, Watson's job is to say "My God, Holmes, how did you work that out?" in wonder, so the audience can see Holme's brilliance, while Liu's Watson asks because she wants to learn how she can do it too
This discourse rolls around every six months and I'm always happy to chime in: ELEMENTARY is a great TV show qua TV show and best modern interpretation of Holmes, including that one you're thinking of, which was more of one dude's intermittent hobby, which also somehow turned into CRIME DR. WHO.
The only recent version of Holmes that rivals ELEMENTARY is PSYCH
A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!
Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....
New, from me: Take the Palantir manifesto seriously, if not literally.
It reveals that our tech philosopher kings want public money, but without public accountability. This creates a dilemma for governments unaligned with its techno-fascist vision. 🧵

A pink background decorated with rainbows and dashed lines in the colors of the lesbian pride flag. The text reads, “Lesbian Visibility Week Bundle; 94 sapphic & lesbian books for $40 USD; 4/20 - 4/26; exclusively on Itch.io”
Welcome to #LesbianVisibilityWeek. All sapphics and girl kissers have debuffed stealth and perception this week.
To compensate, some lovely authors (self-included) have a pack of 94 sapphic and lesbian books, zines, comics, and RPGs you can get for just $40.

This is SUCH a good example of what I was talking about in my video on why rich people are so lonely. This has gotta be the most extreme case since Louis XIV www.instagram.com/reel/DSAkum6...

Jellett!
Sitting here crying while after getting WhatsApped the photo on the right, so let me tell you a little story about how we got here from the photo on the left and why repatriation research matters!
Hey seriously, literally in the bills it says they'll also use identifying information, such as your age data for "other purposes". That means your data goes into a government surveillance database. This would be for ANY *OS*, which is the thing your fucking PC runs off of.
Call your reps NOW.
YE GODS.
The Robert Johnson recording in question. It’s so clear I feel like I time-traveled.
book promotion graphic. To Secure her crown, she must lose her heart. "[T]he ending...glorious. The ending had me in tears and I was so glad I kept reading because it was so worth it. The writing is lovely, the grammar is tight, the characters are intense. But the ending...that's where the magic lies." - Bookbub Reviewer on SMOKE AND STEEL A lesbian epic fantasy.
You want an explosive redemption arc of a villainess absolutely determined not to be redeemed? Pick up SMOKE AND STEEL.
