Finally got to start something I've been wanting to try for years: Oliver and I just started reading The Hobbit (or There And Back Again, if you want to get parenthetical about this) together.
I really gotta play this game...
I really enjoyed playing the #tombraider trilogy earlier this year, and if you've got PS Plus, and you're looking for some of that really, really dank escapism, the kind that leaves little pockets for dissociation? Yeah, probably you would like these games too.

The end gave me an actual jumpscare
She thinks she missed the train to Mars
She’s out back spittin bars
And now for some of my very favourite Smol Paul moments in no particular order, starting with the first ever yeet
Just a gentle reminder that everything we're thankful for is due to the grace and help of others and, for many of us, a heaping dose of unearned privilege. None of us has ever truly done anything on our own.
Who we are is often the result of the emotional labor of teachers, parents, and mentors.
Tomorrow I will defeat my family.
I've not tried that one, but between that, Blimpie's subs, Casey's pizzas, and Krispy Krunchy Chicken, IL gas station food remains at least A-tier.
Oh, you mean the time Stevie Nicks spent several minutes straight-up murdering a man onstage with her eyes?
Without any hyperbole, that might be the greatest performance of any song ever caught on video.
A six-panel comic. In the first panel, a yellow warbler says "Hey so I'm going to go out on a limb here." In panels two through five, the warbler hops along a long branch against a blue sky with clouds. In panel 6, it stops at the end of the branch and sings.
As the year comes to an end, I'm reposting some of the comics I made this year, including this ridiculous thing.
I do forget that Wicked really isn't a prequel and actually runs parallel to Wizard of Oz (haven't seen the new movie yet).
There actually ARE multiple sequels to Wicked--I've only read Son Of A Witch, it's very good--but yeah I'm with you on all fronts here.
What's really interesting is that there are two different interpretations (portmanteau AND throwback to "Inde") and I've never heard either of them before.
They already made a sequel to Wicked though, like 86 years ago
Yes.
Next question please.
Same here--without any judgement, this is an interpretation I've never seen before, and I'm fascinated by that?
No, they just have better judgement than most people.
A priority board? You must mean a personal data lake.
it just strikes me as a bad idea to pick fights with an astronaut.
They don’t tell you how many angels get sucked through jet engines but I bet the answer is “some”
The rich tighten their belts? No, that's totally unreasonable. Makes more sense to blame this on the working class, without wasting time on things like logic.
Yo what’s up chat. It’s ya boy Sisyphus, back again with another Eternal Boulder Any% run. If you’re new here, smash that follow button like Zeus smashed my hopes and dreams.
When something is all around you all the time, the only way not to care is to actively decide it's unimportant. I have to remind myself that, for most people most of the time, "not caring" is a passive thing, not an active choice. It's why I rarely engage in anything meaningful on socials anymore.
I'm not going to tell you not to get mad, or not to interact, or generally how to live your life in any way--but as someone who really struggles with the mental health toll of social media, please remember how little most of this shit matters, and try to protect your peace where you can. 🖤
That's not meant as a defense of the post, or anyone who liked it, and I can only imagine how infuriating it is to see people be glib and flippant and shitty about this stuff when you're up to your eyeballs in the reality of it every day. I DO get that part, as much as I'm able.
I cannot claim to understand what you're experiencing in all this, but please remember how much of social media interaction is *legitimately* meaningless. Out of 500 people who clicked the like button, I would be shocked if more than 5% of them gave it even a moment of critical thought.
Oh I cannot emphasize enough how not-under-warranty this thing is 🤣
That's better than the $300 I've been seeing--seems obvious but I wouldn't have thought of it!
I've got a Herman Miller Mirra 2 with a ripped mesh seat. Any advice for finding a replacement seat that won't cost twice as much as I paid for the chair?
