It's wild to see Highguard go from launch to shutdown inside of six weeks. This is also why external consulting services are valuable -- a company like mine would have helped a game like this avoid a fate this dire. There is no reason this should have happened.

I would never!
When you really don't understand that Lara Croft doppelganger fight at all.
I don't know when it took place, I am assuming over the summer of 1936. I was just considering the distance from the year itself.
16,234 days between Dec. 31, 1936 and June 12, 1981.
16,241 days between June 12, 1981 and today.
We are now further away from the theatrical release of Raiders of the Lost Ark (June 12, 1981) than it was from the year it takes place in (1936). We have reached the Indiana Jones event horizon.
Me, in 2025, seeing Tony Hawk tell you about the cholesterol pills he takes, watching Christina Ricci hawk anti-aging skincare products, and and hearing "Take On Me" used for the jingle in a medication commercial.
There's also the fact that getting diagnosed as an adult involves a months-long waiting list and multiple thousands of dollars. So, even if you suspect, do you really want to jump through those hoops -- especially if you've been living a functional life this whole time?
We're at a Barnes & Noble and they just told us each book section is organized CHRONOLOGICALLY, help me I'm in hell.
HECK YEAH, welcome to Bluesky finally!
RIP Michelle Trachtenberg, dead at 39 from apparent liver transplant complications.
This one hits hard. Younger than me, super out-of-the-blue. Tragic. The very first episode of Buffy I ever saw was S05E02, the first one featuring her in the opening credits.

"Hey guys, what if Severance was REAL?"
Not in the cards currently. But I'm glad you liked it!
I do not need to "save time" or "see more features and enhancements over time" or "Learn more." What I need is a "Please disable Gemini and stop asking me about it forever" button.
I know everybody is all about Astro Bot and Metaphor: ReFantazio and Elden Ring DLC right now. But you're probably sleeping on Vengeance Hunters, one of the low-key coolest arcade beat-'em-ups since Streets of Rage 4.
No clue, they never tell you how many you get right or wrong.
When I'm not on Bluesky being cool, I'm over here correctly guessing the final Jeopardy clue cold, from just the "Presidential Candidates" category title. I take your online test every year Jeopardy, when are we gonna talk??
When it's a new PC, I vastly prefer to do completely fresh installs.
An observation, in the midst of setting up a new PC and also refitting the older PC as an upgrade for my wife's computer: All programs should have an "export settings" option, so that you can just import preferences from a file, instead of playing Where's Waldo with settings screens across two PCs.
Blue Revolver is one of the best and most newbie-accessible arcade shoot-'em-up games there is, if you're curious about this genre and want something good to try.
Well, it looks like Jake Paul made it through the first 1 minute and 30 seconds of round 1, so he might have a shot.
Man, so, for real: I've gotten super-used to just not having Twitter-y social media in my life, after I walked away from Elon Musk's garbage pit. So now I have to actively remind myself it's here, since I don't just sit on it all day. I hope I didn't forget how to use this thing.
Blocked and reported.
How do I open this PDF?
OK OK gosh! Here I am! Posting! Hello!
One of the best things I saw at GDC this week was this awesome tribute to Jennell Jaquays, who designed (among other things) some of the best old-school TTRPG dungeons. "Jaquaysian dungeon design" is a thing that's still talked about today.
