There's one that has an upstairs that would make for a fantastic bedroom, except it's not closed off so there's zero sound isolation

It turns out that even though my bedroom feels extremely cramped, half of the flats for sale in my area actually have *smaller* bedrooms D:

a corner shop unit. there’s no name on the facade, but there is a small lit-up “Open” sign in the window, Scotland flags hanging from the top, and various sculptures of highland cows on display

another of the shop’s windows shows off various strange souvenirs. there’s Scotland-branded balls, a William Wallace sculpture, a gaudy gold statue, multiple UK-themed money boxes, and a framed picture of a highland cow that might be slop. you can also see the shelves at the back of the shop, which have vapes and bongs

the shop unit previously occupied by our local chemist (who moved a couple blocks down) has finally been filled!

… it’s now another generic shop selling vapes and Scotland-themed tat. I’m sure the newsagent/vape shop directly opposite them are pleased to see some competition

Many years ago when I worked on Furcadia and tried to optimise the hell out of its software rendering code for sprite blending effects (e.g. multiply, add/subtract, etc) I saw a nice boost from using SSE2 intrinsics, so I can believe it

It wasn’t a 2x boost or anything but it did run faster
