That implies that you're aware of days recently that haven't contained some major international shitstorm. I must have missed them.

I clicked to see the replies thinking "if I don't see a Dogtanian reference I'm going to be very unhappy." Thanks for saving my mood.

Hmm, that's going to be a tight squeeze in the back pocket. Good job there's not a third for the bum crack!

Just catching up on @hellobuglers.bsky.social whilst waiting for my long haul flight when I heard @alicefraser.bsky.social 's long haul life hack. Nearly spat out my noodles. Now to see if I can find 3 ham and cheese sandwiches in Shanghai Pudong.

I totally agree with this and will also add that with a graduate tax, those who benefit most from a degree would pay most. In the current system, the best pair graduates actually end up paying less than moderately well-paid graduates because they pay off the loan early and pay less interest.

Thanks for sharing this. It's really interesting. I have, in the past, taught Linnean classification but didn't know about this side of it. I started off reading the article thinking "questionable, but maybe understandable", then it got to "oh my god that's awful".

All I can think of when someone mentions the #olympics venue. #hypothalamus #melanocortin #pomc

@robertjbennett.bsky.social Oh my god, I love the ghrelin reference in a drop of corruption. As a fanstay-reading neuroscientist this is in my exact niche.

Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to Lloyds chemist's, but that's just a bag of KP peanuts to space.

I love these so much.

Sexual monolith is one of hose descriptions that, when applied to the right person, everyone would agree was the right term but there'd be differing views on how complimentary it is. Positively aspirational for a certain type of man.

This does lose some points for the number of times my wife tells me that tomorrow will be beyond imagining.

Oh, so not the Barry White tribute act or parody that I had assumed (genuinely).

There's another way to see this:
AI is now making in-jokes. It's quite a step forward. In just another 50 years, it might realise it's making in-jokes.

The like button doesn't fully convey how much this concept amused me!

Maybe this is how we stop it: noone on social media explicitly says what they mean and we all assume we agree with each other.

I see what you did there (again assuming that we're thinking of the same word).

Oh. You're so funny.

It all depends how broadly we define the terms "AI" and "help".

Possibly too clever. I'm assuming you're a lover of cryptic crosswords.
