I had technical trouble with this artwork ๐ฃ๐ฆ files are disappearing from my hard disk, including the PSD for this artwork. It turns out my hard disk is deteriorating ๐ญ Good thing I saved JPEG progress images, and I continued the artwork from there. I'm just glad it's finished now!

This only works for painting, as to draw anime-style artwork I have to make a clean sketch because it's going to become the base for linework.
Mostly using my sketch as a placeholder, to decide what goes where. Hair blown with the wind, hand embracing the duck, flowers go behind the duck, etc. I like having a degree of freedom during painting, but still contained by the original sketch.
My sketch is often really messy...
