Mini rant: It bugs me that on forms in the US, when they ask for ethnic background, there’s a long list (I’m glad) and then just…white. I’m not just “white”. That isn’t my ethnicity or culture.

I’m Montenegrin. Where’s the Balkan group? Where’s Slavic? Mediterranean? Anything.

A small viper clings to a branch with its tail, its head drawn back into a strike position. The view is angled from the top, with some of the snake's one side visible, facing left to right with leafy green colors in the background. The ground color of the head and body is a bright yellowish-orange, with faint darker spots running down the back. The eyes are orange, and the black pupils are vertically elliptical. Above each are a group of elongated scales that point upwards over the eye, and somewhat resemble eyelashes (hence the name).
