Actually redheads are even more common! (Or maybe that's my selection bias, because I try to go for more colourful and recognisable characters)

Positive Steam game review: Only Danish cars can run this fast. I see a couple of prominent review on here are comparing WHAT THE CAR? disfavorably to the studio's previous outing WHAT THE GOLF?. I don't think that's quite fair; no only is Car significantly cheaper while containing even more content and no fewer laughs, but it's a more focused and specialised game than Golf. Now I love WHAT THE GOLF?, it's one of my favourite games of all time, but I appreciate that Triband continues trying new and novel ideas and iterating on those. There's definitely fewer parodies in Car, but there's so many jokes crammed into every tiny bit of the game, and the core gameplay loop is extremely solid, while still constantly introducing new variations on it. I also really enjoy the ability for the community to build their own levels - it's fun trying to grind the leaderboards, and at the release I spent many hours watching various streamers compete against each other first in the demo and then in the final game. I'm really hoping to see the speedrun community latch unto the game. I should mention that my playtime is low here because I've previously spent a lot of time playing this on the tablet. Anyways, buy this and enjoy it for what it is: An expertly crafted comedy game, in which the comedy consistently lands - which is really hard to do with video games where you often cannot control the timing. Okay, maybe the Flintstone car can run pretty fast as well....
Well I guess you're right...
Bluesky server down message stating that they are "investigating an incident with service in one of our reginos"
Oh no! Not their reginos!
Jamen så syntes jeg da bare at Julie skal bryde tabuet helt ned.
Hvilket blod er bedre end hvilket andet blod?
Hvorfor er det bedre?
Hvad skal dem med bedre og renere blod gøre ved dem med urent blod? Regere over dem? Udrydde dem? Måske fjerne dem fra deres familie og igangsætte avlsprogrammer?
Captain Haddock looking very frazzled, saying, “What a week, huh?” Tintin leans into the frame and says, “Captain, it’s Wednesday.” Snowy aka Milou is very excited about the drink he has found.

Oh yeah, definitely Danish. They were working on a building near me a couple of years ago.

Cursed game I managed to make in 5 hours solo at Nordic Game Jam 2026; engine was made during the jam, but was feeling unwell for most of it.
Was inspired by Pikmin lol

I hate doing such posts, but I'm in an awkward period with SZROT, where I've run out of personal funds, but I still have lots of urgent paperwork for different funding opportunities. Any support really helps me in this endeavour!
Also note that it predates Fifth Element by a year, so this is not a case of trying to capitalise on the success of that film, but rather a case of convergent evolution.
Space Truckers features Dennis Hopper basically playing Bruce Willis' character in Fifth Element: A very divorced blue collar worker, making a living from flying "cars", in a future with very similar aesthetics and in which he agrees to help out a young woman (his "fiancee") and stop some evil plans
Stuart Gordon's Space Truckers (1996)
It's got those bright tacky primary colors of Fifth Element, but also Charles Dance as a space pirate, and just pairs up really well with the futures seen in Fifth Element.

What's the worst time to post something gaming history related? A few days before GDC. Well, GDC is over, so I'll try again:
Here's what I learned (as an archivist, for archivists) after listening to 150 episodes of the @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social podcast: trixter.oldskool.org/2026/03/05/s...
Some of those songs get mighty racist. Also just so weird how much of a FCK fan Mario is for some reason.
The birthday CD can still be purchased from new.

Hey @politiken.dk @weekendavisen.dk @gamereactor.bsky.social vil I snakke om det danske puzzle- og strategispil "The Girl Who Kicked a Rabbit"? Det kan faktisk spilles på dansk og er skide sjovt.
With the success of anime like Shirobako, New Game and 16bit Sensation, I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen more games that delve into the history of animation and games development, outside of your game dev sims.
Screenshot from Matematik i Måneby, which shows the overworld view of the planet of the Gullops, and how it is developing as you've completed a bunch of math-based mini-games to help them build new structures.
Screenshot from Gys på Regneslottet (Quantum Castle) showing some numbered potions being mixed together in a cauldron by a witch, with a numbered bubble rising from the ensuing soup - and also there's a band of skeletons on the back wall of the dungeon that the scene is set in.
I'm not personally too into more action-y or minigame-y parts of the genre, but I do know that the games we get the most requests about at the Royal Danish Library are Matematik i Måneby by Bitfrost and various Gili Soft games such as Gys på Regneslottet.
Screenshot from Age of Mythology showing the "History" screen, which explains that you can use it to gain knowledge about different aspects of the game, including historical context.
Screenshot from Age of Mythlogy: The Titans, showing the context screen for the unit Prometheus, including a text description of the myth of Prometheus.
I was quite into Age of Empires and Age of Mythology back in the day, which allowed the player to read up on every unit's real world history, which is neat when you're doing mythology.
Screenshot from Pajama Sam 2: Thunder and Lightning aren't so Frightening showing Sam in front of the World Wide Weather building on top of a cloud.
Screenshot from Miljøstrup, showing Mads in front of some sort of industrial production machine, about to "use hole".
I think a lot of people really enjoyed the 1990s-style edutainment adventure games that could also have a bit of a story and do characters and gags. You'll see a lot of people be nostalgic for the Humongous games, or your Miljøstrup-types or whatever.
Edutainment game about subject that for inexplicable reasons you know way too much about, but no-one is making edutainment games about.

I am visible. You are allowed to perceive me (today only).
HARD DISK WORRIES My only fear about PlayStation 2 is concerning the forthcoming Hard Disk Drive. How can gamers be sure that this won't tempt some developers to send out 'unfinished' games as they did with the PC? I hope that you can somehow convince me that this won't be the case.
