A new page from the GN for which we could not find a publisher. Sometimes you have to keep going in the face of rejections.
The economy of comics is such that it is very difficult to justify drawing very detailed pages, but the heart wants what it wants.

Review! This Beautiful, Ridiculous City – Kay Sohini @kaysohini.bsky.social Takes a Resonant Personal Journey through New York in this Standout Graphic Memoir. www.brokenfrontier.com/this-beautif...
the Post news is gutting for many reasons, but I can’t help focusing on the books section—how great it was, and how essential. So many worthy books barely get reviewed. I’ve had authors reach out to thank me because mine was the only post-pub coverage they got. Just awful for readers & for writers.
"We’re witnessing a murder," writes @ashleyrparker.bsky.social. "Jeff Bezos ... and Will Lewis, the publisher he appointed at the end of 2023, are embarking on the latest step of their plan to kill everything that makes the paper special." www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...
My little book?!
#Libfaves25 Day 6:
THIS BEAUTIFUL RIDICULOUS CITY by Kay Sohini
I feel like books that release early in the year often get lost on these best of lists.
Make sure Kay's beautiful memoir - and love letter to a city, something we don't see much of anymore - is on your radar.
Just logged in after weeks and saw this. My leedle, so spludgy and cute!
Thank you! This looks great.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it 😊

For @washingtonpost.com, I illustrated an interactive comic about how auroras appear in our skies. Words and science by Kasha Patel. Art direction by Hannah Good, and brought to life by Emily Wright and Emma Kumer.
Had so much fun collaborating, imagining, and drawing this piece.
